There are around 400,000 species of plants on Earth; based on their evolutionary characteristics, we divide them into 4 groups-Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms. In this video, we will learn their observable features, based on which you can easily learn classification of plants yourself!
We also answer some common questions such as: What are the oldest plants? Which organisms produced oxygen before the evolution of plants? What are different modes of plant reproduction?
To learn about pine reproduction, watch the gymnosperm life cycle video here: • Learn How Pine Trees R...
All about Bryophyta and how the moss life cycle works: • Learn How Mosses Repro...

Wonderful! A short film giving the top-level classification, though I must confess I saw the title and thought the video would explain some details and let us know how the broad classification is done till the level of species. Anyway, thanks for this. Can you please make a video on why the ferns, tree ferns, club mosses etc that once dominated the land went away? That would be interesting.

"If you like my content, please subscribe" she says AT THE END of the video. That's the way to do it. Of course I'm going to subscribe. Most people ask that in the beginning, before they present the video, which makes no sense.

I like to draw leaves but never understood them. I was looking for videos about leaf classification and I saw your video about simple and compound leaves. I thought it would be one of those assignment videos with choppy editing and barely understood concepts, but I have to say I am pleasantly surprised to see how well-made it is. It's entertaining and your voice is also calming to listen to. So now I'm here, and I'd like to say that what you're doing is such a great contribution. I've subscribed and I can't wait to see more stuff from you.

Love this. But also very confused on terminology. In another video you spoke of Taxonomy & Classification being : Domain>Kingdom>Phylum>Class>Order>Family Yet here you speak of "Divisions" & "Groups". Are divisions & groups equal to Phylums & Class ? Or are we looking at completely different systems ? Appreciate any clarification 😊 Love you videos regardless!

Magnificent presentation for simplifying the plant classification. This is my go-to video for plant classification as i like to show it in an evolutionary way. Suggestion: From evolution point of view can u make a video of plant classification, that will be definately a great help for kids to understand it in a way that no one had ever made for plant classification.

I'm pretty curious about how dormancy works, what is the biological fundamental of it and what chemicals/hormones are responsible for entering, during and breaking dormancy. flower plants like hydrangea and peony go dormant yearly, how is dormancy effects the flowering of these plants and what is happening as the plant break dormancy, grow foliage, then bear flower and fruit.
@natureclearly
@natureclearly Год назад
Dormancy in plants is a fascinating topic! There are so many factors that affect when and if plants go dormant. Have you ever noticed houseplants going dormant? It might be confusing to be able to recognize if the plant is still alive or just dormant. I'll watch the observable signs of dormancy closely, so hopefully I can incorporate it into a video in the future! :)

Hi great video. Can you point me to a source, or tell me about recent classification? When I went to uni plant taxonomy classification was: DOMAIN KINGDOM DIVISION CLASS ORDER FAMILY GENUS SPECIES Now it appears to be DOMAIN KINGDOM CLADE (several) ORDER FAMILY GENUS SPECIES So Division and Class have bee replaced by clades. Is this correct?
