Thank you for your comment. The plastic clip is just a piece of plastic - the same material of the damaged tank. normally we get it from a wall of a completely damaged similar water tank.

Do it is needed to let it cool fast ? I always leave the plastic to cool without water and it works well, thats why i ask; com on "man", "common sense" is evolving with sharing experience, not by beeing snob hiddent behind your screen ^^ Its not a dick challenge !

like kristoffer said, no. these types of plastics, for example the plastic i am needing to weld HDPE (high-density polyethylene) won't tightly bond with any glue, even epoxies/etc. the molecules will form van der waals electrostatic bonds with appropriate materials, but those bonds are relatively weak so you cannot count on _any_ type of strength. i use silicone caulk to basically plug a tiny gap around an inlet hose to that HDPE tank, and it works well enough, but it'll easily come out if messed-with.
