Expanding Push with ADAT both using Live tethered and in Standalone mode is huge. Hooking up push to a studio with a couple of ADAT cables is such a nice capability, especially if ever taking Push on the road.
Ok this is powerful. Anyone know if I can use push 3 as a USB interface for my computer without ableton running in the background? I mean can I ditch my focusrite?
Am I correct in assuming, based upon the single ADAT input and output that the additional 8 channels would be a maximum of 48kHz as I understood you need dual ADAT to achieve 96kHz
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. No, Push 2 does not have a sampler or anything in it to record an audio device like a guitar, so for that kind of functionality you'd need to go for Push 3. Thanks - Ableton
Agreed. I prefer the PUSH 2. PUSH 3 adds nothing I need. I am a long term user of Ableton Live Studio. It is lacking MIDI, it only has 2 ins and 2 outs unless you use another device, it lacks touch screen, the screen is small and does not tilt, it does not host VSTs, the upgrade from PUSH 3 controller to standalone is an all in or none. Should I do on because I have more. PUSH 3 is a very expensive controller that is trying to compete with devices that have everything it does not and then some.
Will you guys ever add class complaint audio interface support? not all our interfaces have the proper ADAT capabilities and I’d really love to use my focusrite clarett 4pre with this.
thanks for the feature request! Feel free to sign up on our Centercode Forum where you can share your suggestions with our developing team directly: bit.ly/2doYK8b Cheers!
Hi! It isn't clear what you are trying to achieve, but you might find this article helpful: help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209770605-How-to-route-the-Metronome-to-a-second-output
Hi there. Thanks for the comment. For line outputs, they are used as a pair to send stereo out, so one would act as L and one would act as R. Thanks - Ableton
Did you know? Any buffer size over 32 leads to the already known noise on the miserable headphone output. I'm curious how Ableton wants to get to grips with this.
Hi there - Thanks for the comment. We've heard from some users about issues with their headphone output. We are currently investigating the cause (AC power adapter? USB-C connected computer? Headphone type? etc.). Some users have noted that using "high impedance headphones" clears the issue. For further help, please contact our Tech Support Team by email directly. Thanks - Ableton
@@Ableton As we now know, the sound is always present. But the included power supply makes it even more audible. In the meantime, I have also found out that the same noise can be heard on line-out at higher amplification. Furthermore, it is a fact that the noise can certainly disappear - if you set the buffer size to 32. Unfortunately, it is not yet known why Ableton has built such a lousy audio output into such an expensive audio device.
Hi: audio inputs only work in standalone mode? Any controller can be connected via usb such as: Allen & Heath Xone K2? Thanks for your time and regards
Hi Javier. Thanks for the comment. No, Push 3 can function as an audio interface when connected to the computer as well. And yes, any controller can be connected, but please refer to this article about what types of devices should be connected to which ports: bit.ly/3N5Xx4A Thanks Ableton
@@Ableton I'm just really confused why in standalone it can't handle ADAT or USB A for synths to get audio into the push? Why isn't this possible? I can only add 1 stereo instrument in a live performance without laptop... It could have been such an amazing piece of gear for dawless performance but without mixing options and getting it in there you're better off with a push 2 and i think that is sad. Will only buy it if this option is there.
@@Ableton will not buy it because ADAT only works in control mode, this is missing the ball badly. Very stupid tbh not to do this, this takes away the whole live-set dawless possibilities. Cause it could've been a great mixer and performance tool but sadly there are no inputs extra in standalone so it becomes pointless to buy in a dawless setup for this price. Even the octatrack has more inputs and it barely has any.
