You are spot on. Lelo means today as well as nowadays depending on the context. Eg. Abana ba Lelo to mean children of nowadays Tuleya Lelo to mean we shall travel today

I really enjoyed the video. Kameno kase😊. In Luhya Marachi lero has two meanings- today and nowadays. Mum- mama Mouth - Omunwa Teeth - Ameno Cat - ipusi Rain - ifula Old people - abakofu one (omukofu). Can also mean a husband. Omukofu wange ( my husband). Omushiere is an elderly woman and also means a wife. Omushiere wange (my wife) Grandfathers - abakuka (one, kuka) Dog - imbwa Soil - liloba Tongue - Lulimi Body - Omubiri

BEMBA LANGUAGE is spoken in both the present-day DRC 🇨🇩 (South East) and Zambia🇿🇲 (North). 🙏🇨🇩

Ilelo means nowadays Bemba uses umubili, kumubili, pamubili all means body depending on contex Bashikulu is for both grandpas or old men same

My mother is mawe in Kirundi My mother is maha in Kibembe Today is lelo in Lingala Body is umubiri in Kirundi Grand fathers is Bashokulu in Kifuliiru Teeth is amino in Kifuliiru Teeth is amenyo in Kinyarwanda Tooth is ilino in Kifuliiru Ku munwa means on mouth in Kirundi Mouth is kanwa in Kifuliiru Mouth is umunwa in Kirundi Elderly people is Bakulu in Kifuliiru Dog is abwa in Kibembe Dog is imbwa in Kirundi and Kinyarwanda Rain is imvula in Kifuliiru Rain is imvura in Kirundi.

Bukusu vs Shona (Zimbabwe) Mayi = Mai Vasakhulu = Vasekuru Lelo = iroro/irero means that one Kumubili = muviri Kameno = meno/mazino Lulimi = rurimi Kumunwa = mukanwa (means inside the mouth) Liloba = ivhu Embwa = imbwa Efula = mvura

LELO means TODAY in Lingala. LINO (Singular) means TOOTH in Lingala. And MINO is TEETH in Lingala. MBWA means DOG in Lingala. MBULA/NVULA means RAIN in Lingala. 🙏🇨🇩

Wow the Lino and lelo is very close to bukusu. In Swahili we also say mbwa for dog.
