4:23 AMOGUS

Few letters in Malayalam and Sinhala scripts are indeed very similar. Similar letters in Malayalam/Sinhala scripts are Ka(ക/ක), sha(ശ/ශ), kha(ഖ/ඛ), ga(ഗ/ග), dha(ധ/ධ), ha(ഹ/හ), Da(ഡ/ඩ), Dha(ഢ/ඪ), retroflex Na(ണ/ණ), ta(ത/ත), Jha(ഝ/ඣ), u(ഉ/උ), ū(ഊ/ඌ). Along with that the diacritics of both scripts have resemblances. ie, കാ(kaa), കെ(ke), കൈ(kai), കൊ(ko), കൗ(kau).

Thanks for the help! Also when we say "think" in English we us a ff sound. Like frog. So it's pronounced as fink. It's a difficult one to pronounce, usually only English people learn it easily. Great video 😊

When the sinhala letters is sus

As a Canadian Sri Lankan, I know how to speak very fluently, better than my sister who was born and living in Sri Lanka for 6 years, but I can't read. I know English and French cause I went into the french immersion program since I was in grade 1, now I am in grade 8. Learning Sinhalese as a first language has helped me alot in pronouncing french words, but I don't know how to write yet. It actually seems really easy cause I know how to pronounce the words so I can do like trail and error.
