There are few things more special than a teacher who can not only teach, but raise the spirits of her students. I came in here with frustration over this topic but you have bridged my understanding, made me smile, and chuckle. I cannot thank you enough, Ana.

Why are you not making more videos as Regulares and irregulares verbos. Im serching but cant find. today is Saturday and on Monday my Exams are starting. Im from Spain Barcelona. Bye An now also imm seeeing Ur video @@ButterflySpanish
I wish all teachers were like you. I learned more from this video than I could learn in school. My spanish teacher explained this to the class, and everyone was like 'what did she say' at the end of the class, but you explained it perfectly.
Not sure which I like better, your sense of humor or the detailed explanations. Love them both. No se cual me gusta mas, su sentido del humor o las explicaciones detalladas. Me gusta los dos. Keep them coming.
Hi Ana, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy and learn from your videos. I'm currently attempting to learn Spanish all by myself and I am struggling, however, since I discovered your channel things have become a lot clearer. I hope you continue to make more videos. Thank you.
This channel helps me get some practice even though I’m Mexican but I have trouble reading, speaking and writing but I understand it and know basic conversation with my parents but I get really nervous when I speak with others besides my parents I feel anxious but I try I normally get weird reactions when I speak Spanish to another Spanish speaker because for a Mexican I’m pale and I have freckles I feel like I secretly get judged by others by the way I look but I’ll continue my studies Currently re learning Spanish and Lear Japanese thank you for these videos ✌️ 🇲🇽 💕
That's interesting, because using ustedes only (even towards your friends) kind of seems overly formal if you think about it. Usted is a contraction of vuestra merced ("your grace" or "your mercy"), hence why usted(es) takes third-person conjugations. Spaniards: Sois cómicos. = Y'all are funny. Latin Americans: Ustedes son cómicos. = Your graces are funny. Sure, I understand that most Latin Americans aren't even thinking "vuestras mercedes" when they say ustedes, I'm sure that association has long been lost to the average speaker. I'm just saying that _on the face of it,_ the idea that Castilian Spanish sounds more uppity is kind of ironic.
I love your quirkiness and your passion for teaching Spanish. I’m using an app to learn Spanish and anytime I don’t understand something I look for your video on it. You’re thorough and explain every detail so that it’s crystal clear. Thank you!!
Reflexive verbs are much harder in Spanish than in French because you can turn a lot of verbs into reflexive ones in Spanish (and not in French). But this is a good starting lesson. Gracias a ti.
Butterfly Spanish please kindly provide videos for other pronouns too like indirect object pronouns and direct object pronouns. they are too confusing .
Actually, any verb in Spanish where the subject also acts as the direct object (receiving the action) can be reflexive if used properly. For example, "él se habla." "He speaks to himself." That's correct. I've been teaching Spanish for 15 years and I might start posting videos.
I've been struggling with these reflexivos until I saw your video. well done, Ana. gracias! also, can you or some else recomend a language school in or around DF? I'm planing to spend a few weeks there learning espanõl.
+Xi Fang Hola Fang. I think if you are going to Mexico City, you may want to enrol at UNAM. I also recommend Guanajuato. It is a small, colonial place in Mexico that has some of the best Spanish as a second language courses :) Send me an email so we can talk bout what you are looking for exactly so I can help you find it :0 Saludos,
Thank you Ana for your hard work. Your lessons are very enjoyable and easy to understand. Keep doing what are you doing because you help lot of people.
This is great , my spanish teacher only teaches in Spanish and sometimes I'm still confused after the lesson. I know people say the spanish teacher should only use spanish in class but I'm a beginner so it's nice to have someone explain it in English
Thank you so much for this clear video. Reflexives verbs are really hard to understand but after watching your video I finally understood how to conjugate them!
Muchas gracias, Ana! You always make things so clear and easy to understand. This lesson was very useful for me, lately I've been hearing reflexive verbs in the movies and they got me a bit confused. I've learned quite a lot of new verbs from this lesson! Eres mi maestra favorita del RU-vid :)
I am having so much trouble processing verbs. In this video one thing that really helped is your explanation of what the verb is, such as Reflexive. Understanding the meaning of Reflexive really helps. I've been looking on line for a simple chart, but they tend to get overloaded with info. I should have started learning spanish years ago, at my age, old as dirt, it's just plain hard to retain new information. Well I'm not alone, my wife is having just as hard of a time learning English.
Te felicito por tu esfuerzo en explicar en ambos idiomas esta gramatica complicada , dificil eso habla de lo inteligente, sagaz, valiente y preparada que eres. Gracias, y pasatela bien :)
@@ButterflySpanish I started learning Spanish 1 year ago but in one year I gave up many times and learned nothing but from one month I'm studying seriously and everything seems easy little by little. I feel like I'm grasping this language very fast 😂😂 just because I have 2 friends from Peru and you are also helping me a lot🥰🥰🥰 muchas gracias Annaa
@@ButterflySpanish actually it has been a year to subscribe your channel 😂😂😂 but i just used to watch your videos and I didn't put any afford to remember anything coz I was so afraid of verb conjugation ..yeah but now it seems really easy
I now have TWo Spanish teachers/tutors! My tutor here in DF..AND...Mariposa Mexica! {YES, I am using Mexica and not Spanish or Mexicana...If you do not know why...ask me!} Gracias Maestra! You make learning enjoyable and useful! Donations coming soon.
O My God! You´re like the best teacher i´ve seen ever! I wish you were teaching on my school, cause you´re helping people so much! Keep uploading & don´t stop, cause you´re the reason of people´s good marks! :D
finally!!! I've been watching many vids about reflexive verbs but didn't understand any but your vid is amaaaaazing...mucho gracias (i'm totally subscribing to ur channel :) )
I am really a fan of your lessons and your teaching style! Your mimics and expressions are so strong that sometimes I have to laugh because it's just funny for me at that moment! Nevertheless, you use them in order to underline what is important or to differentiate things you're explaining. This is also something that makes your lessons enjoyable and definitely not boring! Thanks! :)
Thank you for these videos , they are vital for a few of us trying to learn Spanish. Could you do more videos of Spanish grammar? If not, I still appreciate all that you do.
Hola. Muchas gracias por ver mis videos. Espero que estés aprendiendo mucho. Sí, claro que puedo hacer más videos sobre gramática. Lo haré con muchos gusto :)
your methods of explaining things are simply amazing!!!! keep up the good work!! I study Spanish at instituto cervantes but I had missed my class on verbos reflexivos but you made it so easy for me, mil gracias!! :)
mi madre....I'll move in Santa Cruz the next month. The Spanish sound is so similar like in Italian, u r a good teacher. do you have any videos about the Spanish lessons, and you speak just in Spanish?Gracias
You should write the number on your video courses, for example: lesson 1, lessson 2, lesson 3, .....etc. so that non spanish speaking people could follow your courses orderly
I didn't realize that the words reflex and reflect are related until I saw this video. They apparently both come from the same latin word reflectere, meaning "to bend back."
So the ''me,te,se,nos,os,se'' are objects when used in this way right? And i suppose as always we can skip the subject (yo,tu etc) since i always hear the ''Te amo'' phrase in movies. Are all these reflective verbs always reflective (with the ''se'' ending) or are they just regular verbs that can be used in that way potentially? Thank you very much for all these amazing videos. We all appreciate your time and effort you put into these
You were all over the map on this one (again) but I did get it in the end. It's starting to make those Duolingo lessons make a little more sense. Thanks (scrap the dog).
Ana, I am a math teacher in Ecuador and would like to know more math terms in Spanish like cuadrado y mas o menos. Can you do a lesson relating to matematica? Gracias
