Once you are finished with the bottom of the basket, the next step is to turn the edge of the basket. Yarrow Vaara and Delores Churchill (master Haida weaver) demonstrate this technique to us, where you go from weaving the bottom of the basket to weaving the sides of the basket.

how do you get such long spruce root pieces , would love to learn how to weave spruce root basket. We do our spruce root basket different in the interior of B.C.
