@@eleanorsmith8524 he’s a dumbass and kind of an asshole. Ykw, I’ll make a list: 1. He pretends to be poor when he’s actually rich 2. He falls in ‘love’ with Cosette after seeing her for 1 second in the street and not even talking to her. You gotta admit that’s creepy 3. He seriously considers ditching his best friends and his entire belief system for Cosette even though he has known her for 3 days and his friends for half his life, some of them 4. He interrupts the rest of the boys singing a selfless song about friendship to moan about how his gf who he’s known for 5 days is moving a few hours away 5. He banished JVJ after finding out he was a criminal which is even worse because Marius is literally guilty of treason! (Vive la revolution obvi but the law is the law) 6. He tried to *blow up himself and everyone around him including all of his best friends* to get the Royal Guard to back down. Yeah it worked but how did he know it would? 7. He didn’t save JVJ from the Thenardiers (this was in the novel). Basically, he lives next door to the Thenardiers and they trick JVJ into coming to their flat so they can rob him. Marius realised this is happening but neglects to save JVJ because *Monsieur Thenardier ‘saved’ his father* 8. He’s a filthy Bonapartist
