Try it first with a dollar coin. Then down to a 50 piece. Finally to the quarter. The dollars weight will make it easier to put the muscle memory into place.
Dude, I learned a this trick few years ago just to dress up as a person from Halloween because they learn how to do a coin trick so I did it and I practiced it for so long. never got to dress as a guy. But now I know how to do a cool trick.
I learned the ring roll about a year ago, and it's become a daily fidget. I can do it faster than anyone I've seen on the internet. I still suck at the coin roll though. Probably the worst you've ever seen
So I'm using a 1oz silver round when I do this. I think that's my problem lol. I can do it but it looks sloppy. Might break out one of my 1964 quarters and give it a shot.
For those windering, a 1964 quarter looks same size as today’s (actually I prefer the look of today’s quarters) only made of silver, so it was much heavier. You can buy cheap replicas that way about the same.
Quite late but from what I gathered it's best to start learning and practicing with a coin just slightly bigger than the width of your finger. Apparently later you'll be able to do it with just about any with enough practice.
