Franco is a pro. You can tell just by how he explains everything. He talks about uniformity. The way he pushed the card..?? he’s fooling the spectator before the big fool. Great video and guest 👍🏻

Duplicates are the most powerful and useful thing that a magician can get in a deck of cards ! You can do so much with it, way more than with double backers or blank cards... Transpo, really losing the card in the deck and still be able to control it somewhere, card to box... Btw, this has nothing to do with the lines above, but I really like how Franco is handling the cards, I've never seen that before, and I find that really stylish ! The way he forces the card, and how he's showing for the last time the card before putting it back to the middle is really unique, and I love it ! His table shuffle is surreal too ! And the trick is awesome !

Duplicates are the most powerful? Nope! Think of 'Triumph' or 'Ambitious card' & ACAAN or '3 card Monte' - Richard Turner would also disagree with you - since we are discussing card-technique, Ooohla la!

@@TAROTAI I'm only speaking about gaff cards that are helping you for tricks... Not about tricks themselves... Obviously, a transpo can't be on the same level as a triumph (well, sometimes, if it's an impossible transpo but...). But you can do so much things with a duplicate than with a double backer, or a falling pips one... It's so versatile and useful !

I actually learned a 4 kings card trick when I was in middle school from a friend we used the queen of hearts and used a story that 4 kings were chasing after the queen to ask her to marry them after placing one on top, two near center, and one at the bottom. Essentially you would force shuffle 3 times to get all the kings and the queen in the center then cut the deck with the queen being the bottom of the deck and the kings all being on the top.

I feel like the problem with the palming/sleeving misdirect is it's kind of just another way you could do the trick. So making it look like that's what you did, just makes the spectator say, "I saw you do a thing!" and then you smile to yourself and think _but in fact I didn't do that thing..._ but you may as well have from the audience's perspective. So it seems like it only makes sense to do that if you're expressly trying to fool another magician, or if you're about to teach them how to do it! Which... I guess is exactly what just happened here. Dangit, you got me with the long game!

Não vejo vantagem nenhuma estar no you tube revelando segredos de uma arte que depende do segredo. Para quem os youtubers vão fazer essas magicas se tô mundo assiste esses vídeos? Esses processos foram criados por magicos criativos, com muito esforço e vcs não tem o direito de banaliza-los. Quem tem vocação vai procurar clubes, escolas, sites com senha ou fechados. Isso é coisa de quem não tem competência para criar bons conteúdos e vai para o you tube destruir a arte. Também é coisa de que. Vende material para magicos que não entendem que estão destruindo a magica. Mas co.o a Internet e um campo sem lei, abusam. Eu, como magico, fico com pena de vcs com cara de bobos ensinando o que todo mundo já sabe. O ilusionismo e uma arte em em extinção por causa de vcs.
