I'm a native English speaker, taught at school in England. I have never learned this for English. I have only learned about such grammar for foreign languages. This is ridiculous! Thank you for this lesson.
I hahn't been taught as precisely as this video since I began my endeavor to learn English, and I won't have been taught as well as this journey continues. Brilliant as ever, Thank you.
I'm enjoying these lessons for four reasons: - Learning the rules which underpin the ways I instinctively use and pronounce English - Seeing IPA spellings to accompany such pronunciation - Her demonstration of syllabic emphasis compared with my American English - Being flattered as a "lovely student"
Thanks for explaining this. I'm a student in a german middle school and I have already learned the present simple tense. I will learn the past perfect soon. But first I will learn the passive, which I already know. You're the BEST teacher I've EVER seen. Great job!
I don’t know which is worse: complicated tenses in English or unpredictable genders of German nouns. Complicated morphology in Slavic languages is probably even more challenging. Hard to tell if your native language is Russian. Anyway, viel Glück beim Lernen!
😮my lovely Lucy , however manytimes you teach us about perfect tenses, it is always freshly unique and deepens my understanding of it not to forget it easly .😊
I had been confused ...so I came cross with this ' astounding ' lesson rising an epiphany moment with this ethereal explanation. Thanks for the dulcet lecture.😊😊😊
Lucy, I also want to join your English learning programme in all the levels upto C1 level. I like your today's lesson Perfect Tenses and Future Perfect Tenses. Happy International Womens" Day to my best teacher Lucy

I have been watching many videos about Present Perfect x Simple Past. This sentence 'I have been to New York'. When Lucy said this event is completed and I'm no longer in NY, but in this case we could use the Simple Past couldn't we? 'I went to N York' .................Or can I use both?
