I just found your 100 days. They are great! I'll be so sad if they disappear before I can digest all the lessons. So very generous of you to create this.

Feeling deep appreciation for your generosity in sharing this series with us, the lessons are precise and fun and easy to digest, and your demos are exemplary. Very grateful for the depth of your knowledge and your sense of humor! I hope this series will remain available for a long time so we can revisit them in order. (and yes, I am a little envious watching here in snow country while you teach on the beach :-) One question: how important is it to be able to pronounce (or even memorize) the names of the moves in Chinese? I have a very hard time with Chinese pronunciation, even with simple things on menu! Again, Thank You!

David-Dorian Ross hi bro. My videos are not that good I am just trying to help. I love taichi but I know little to knowing about taichi. My question is do you use taichi for help or you use it as practical application for self defense

That’s a really good question. And the answer changes over the years. I’m 60 now, and my interest is much more in the realm of both health and spirituality. Meaning making the world a better place. But I have a very traditional and classical background of training. I fought a lot more as a younger man (have you seen my nose? It’s been broken at least three times!) In my teaching, I probably emphasize other aspects more than the fighting aspect, but at the same time I think it would be incomplete if I didn’t include it what I know about the marshals tradition of tai chi is well. Does that answer your question? I want to make sure that I understood you.
