@@jeonrefga8109 The characters are especially similar in Korean. The letters, which are supposed to show the shape of the mouth, are also similar ㅁ and ㅂ Also, some of the original ones on the list are wrong. 1:12 is Jal jasseo (자다 for "to sleep")

@@PassionPno I think it's the tense consonants. I think it sounds like the speaker is annoyed and is spitting out a syllable, when it's really just part of of the phonology.
I've just come across this, you made it great fun. I was pleased to find that I knew all the words but your explanation was great. I'm a Welsh speaker, being bilingual makes it much easier to learn another language, as long as we know the sound of the alphabet. This is where I get confused with the romanisation of Korean as the letters aren't always pronounced the same.

Wow when I first watched this one I hardly knew any cz i was new to Kdramas. Now I'm mostly familiar with them. Most of them are in my passive korean. Active Korean couple of these. I love the Korean language. Sounds so pleasing to me. It's music to my ears.
