How To Balance or Balance for Longer. If you are Beginner to Intermediate, understanding the balance window and how to train it is very important. The beginner will not feel whats happening until it's too late, the intermediate will be constantly thinking and aware of the rebalance, the advanced will subconsciously balance and adjust as needed. That was outstanding!! I just got my first HS on my 65th birthday after trying for 2+ years. This gave me a whole new perspective about what I should be striving for. Not being perfectly balance but being capable of recognizing the out-of-balance trend and applying the correction.

Great content, you definitely deserve many more subs. Very informative and clear with no usual BS. I'm stuck in the realm of 5-10 seconds and so far my biggest problem is to learn to use shoulders for under balance. In fairness I'm super tall for calisthenics 6'4" and it's hard but I won't give up. I've seen many hs videos so far but the fact I've learn some new things today is probably the biggest compliment I could give you. Thanks and keep sharing your experience with us 😇

Incredible video. I can somewhat manage a 15-20 second hold but I struggle with my balance window. Time to go back to the wall :)

I can feel myself falling but don’t know how to stop it…like do I tighten my shoulders, pull with my abs etc. I’m sure practice makes all the difference

Yeah do the reps of Heel Pulls and Toe Pulls. After while the balance will start to make sense

Thank you for the unique information. I have a question. I am 31, 5.7, 72kg. I'v been learning handstand for more than 3 months. And I still have balance issue. In my routine, I'm training 7 days a week. Pushday, pullday, core day, legs day, l-sit, handstand day and lastly mobility day. And I also do handstand attempts through out the week. My question is, am I spending a lot on other exercises and less on handstand? Should I focus first on handstand alone then do other skill and training? You input will be very helpful. Thank you.

Yes you should train like 5 to 6 day a week of handstand cause you won't learn balance it if you train 1 or 2 day cause your body doesn't make adoptions to balance if spend less time balancing

​@@exo01938 Thank you. Yes, I followed the same routine and trained for an entire week. Now, my kick-ups and balance are improving. I've also added press-to-handstand routines, which are going really well.

Straight Arm Scapula strength is the key in terms of the balance (so all the muscles that surround the shoulder blades, Traps etc). Then its the connection between the upper and lower body or the making the body one segment, some people would call this the core but I'm not a fan of using the terminology. Id rather say the connection from the hands to the feet.

Yeah I can balance on a plank of wood over a foam roller (and a skate board). In some ways it’s easier as you have more options to balance

My circle for balance is less then average 30 seconds but more then 5 sec for beginners. I am trying a toe balance knee position using bosu, good or no for one hand holds?

Not 100% sure what you mean for the One Arm Drill but no I would not recommend using a Bosu for your main training sets.

Wrist ext will work the same as in the floor but you will gripping the bar at the same time. Arching the body and bending arms can help as well
