I attempted to cut my own hair today like an hour ago and it’s surprisingly easy and a lot more efficient. And the best thing is, you can have your hair EXACTLY how you want.
well exactly as you want but as you can as well (if you have the skill/practice to do so). It can get tricky at lower back of the head or the back top part.
Honestly, I've gotten worse at cutting my hair over time, cause I got overly confident with my skills. The last cut I gave myself, I accidentally went way to high with a #1 on one of my sides. So im rewatching hair cutting tutorials, but also thinking of just going to a barber to fix the mess of my last haircut..
@@ericballesteros9569 I keep a bun so my hand started shaking when I brought trimmer close to my head. So I dropped I idea and thought of visiting the barber......
I did it. My last haircut was 8 months ago, so I had a lot of take off. I look and feel much better now, especially knowing that I never again have to rely on anyone else for a haircut.
I used to spend $35-45 for a haircut. Low/medium skin fade, tight on the sides and short on top was my always go to style. I was young and had a decent salary job and I was single and always wanted to look good so I always paid that amount at least every 7 days. Usually get a cut on Thursday or Friday to get the weekend right. After many times of seeing my haircut is cut the way I like it, i gave it a try on my own. Took me about 5-6 haircuts on my own and watching lots of videos I then finally got it right. It's been 5 years since I've been to a barbershop. My old barber retired so I didn't feel guilty that I can no longer give my business. I did invest in decent clippers that cost me $100 and is lasting me for many years now. Cutting your own hair takes patience and lots of confidence during the first attempts but once you find your groove, you realize how much money you saved.
This guy is so underrated I just watched his backflip video and it was so entertaining. Not only does he make good content but his humor and editing is amazing. Keep up the good work
I used the strategy from this video first on myself, and later on my two brothers. It really is tough to have appropriate depth perception in the mirror, but I eventually got my own done. Completing my brothers’ cuts was quite easy at that point. I would recommend, if possible, just finding another guy and cutting each other’s hair. Also, as blondes, this isn’t a super noticeable fade, which is exactly what I wanted. You might have to lower the lowest depth to 4 or 3 mm in order to get a really noticeable fade for blondes. Thanks for making this video!!
It takes a while to gain confidence using the mirror. Anyways I'm glad the video was helpful! For a better fade, instead of using the 4 and the 5 in the lowest area, you could repeat the same process using the 2/3 then the 4 then the 5. Just consider that the lower you go the harder it gets (every mistake becomes more noticeable), but in the end it's all about practice
First time ever cutting my hair, I followed everything you said in the video and it turned out great. Thank you, im going to come back to this video when i cut my hair from now on. Also that screeshot of the 6 to 12mm was really helpful
I'm new to your channel and this is unbelievable! Love the vibe, the energy and you proving everything is possible through intention and perseverance to practice! Let's go! :)
Thanks for the intelligent comment. One question, Where would you go if you were to die today? Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hell is real and Heaven is also real. You don't want to spend an eternity in Hell torment without God. The only way to escape Hell is to follow Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Study the KJV Bible to know more and pray and seek until you find Jesus. Don't delay tomorrow might be too late. You are not promised even the next minute. Do it nowThanks for the wonderful recipe. You gave me something free for my belly so I will give you this message for free too. Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. This came in so handy. Pretty difficult at first, but I used my hand to cover the top hair closer to the step and that helped me not accidentally trim the top. Thanks a lot👌🔥.
Since Corona you are the reason i cut my hair for my own. Best instruction i saw. I am happy about it. Thank you very much. I saved a lot of money and the optic result after three year practise is very well.
Just finished my first time cut. I followed your video step by step and I'm really impress!! I wanted to have my sides shorter, so I ajusted your offered sizes and thats it, new adapted corona man.
Thanks a lot🙏 I just cut my hair exactly as you said and turned out pretty good, you are my saviour😍😁. (Btw guys use a pink miror, it actually does make a differance😂.)
Started cutting mine back in 2017, started doing it for my roommate and occasionally my dad. I do a more military crew cut style but it's a pretty decent skill to have
Great tutorial! I just cut my own hair and the result was quite good. The only difficult things to get right are the small details such as perfect symmetry and the neckline at the back. Thanks from Sweden!
This is a great video, I loved the editing where you show the areas you will be cutting. I cut my own hair last week and uploaded a video, I will be using some of your techniques in my next haircut attempt.
I’ve been cutting my own hair for about 10 years, it gets to be really easy. I do the back mostly by feel, just use the guards. I can fade it rather well. My hair now looks better than when I’ve paid for it to get a cut. Though, I would suggest fading from the top down, unlike what is in the video.
Thank you so much for the motivation and the tips about how to cut my hair. Right now is almost impossible to get a haircut, however, after watching your video, I went to a store to buy an haircut kit and now I am pretty satisfied with the result, I still need to master the skill. Big thank you. New subscriber, looking forward to learn more skills and improve lifestyle for men.
@@kurtc8220 just my clipper had arrived. And I just cut my friends hair and shit came up. 😬😬 I thought he'd gonna kill me, I almost bald him. 😂😂 Now he regret to trust on me. And I don't trust myself to cut my own hair.😬😬😬
Better content than some 5M+ channels. The new trend now for popular channels is BS ad placement, over-edited/produced footage, loud, obnoxious, etc. Mike Shake is just all about great, solid content.
Great tutorial on cutting your own hair! I tried to go a little shorter with my third self haircut during this COVID-19 pandemic and eff'ed it up. I will refer to your video for reference when my hair grows out and needs to be cut again...
I am sure this will help every guy out there who needs a haircut....you did a great job and it was so helpful to have that chart to follow.....Now we know your secret why your hair always looks so perfect and in place....I hope your doing well among these crazy times and please stay safe....Look forward to your next video......Maybe do a cooking video.....I loved the ending.....
Yeah I think this could be helpful for a lot of people right now! Anyways a cooking video is a nice idea, I have a few other videos planned but yeah I'll do that in the future!
dude this video was really awesome! I started cutting my own during lockdown and it gets better each time! Thanks for your video. Watching you from Cape Town South Africa! I am also an engineer! :D
Been growing my hair for literally 5 years at this point and I'm about to cut it off to donate. Was going to shave it off completely or get to a barber, but this just changed my mind. Thanks man.
hey bro, i have a tip how to cut around the ear.. if you have on of those nose hair attachment for your clippers, you can use that very risk free with good results. cheers.
I have been cutting my hairs since March 2020 and now i am planning to cut my hairs myself. Just a trimmer needed and after every 2 weeks I get a fresh look without paying any money to Barber which almost cost $18 per visit
After watching this video, I attempted to cut my own hair for the first time. I was fully prepared for an emergency visit to a barber. To my surprise it actually went fine! 10/10. I will cut my own hair again. Thanks!
Very Good Info Thank You . I’m Going to Cut My Hair as Well . Just tired of going to the barber and waiting around. And of course all this thing going on with the COVID-19 thank you you’re the best😋🙏👍
I am a girl but seeing this haircut I tried this boy haircut I had really long hair but I got so impressed by this hairstyle that I tried it myself and my mom was shocked..... I am only 15 and so I did not ever choose a haircut for myself but I just did it myself for first time 😂😂 Now I look like a boy, but this hairstyle is cool 😎
I found the hardest part was trying to cut my hair with the scissors evenly. I did manage to do it and ended up with a decent hair cut. I hope to improve over time. Thanks for the help!
Dude, this might just be the best self haircutting video ever. Short while informing of everything I need to know, and also funny and weird(love the random couch face). Just like me. Lol. Instant subscribe because I see you mountain bike and also do flips as well which I want to learn too.
