This is the best series of videos I’ve seen on here for real beginners. It’s so refreshing to see someone actually explain the flight and power dynamics while also helping you to understand what to actually do with the sticks.

If you’re serious about flying watch this guys videos. He taught me how to fly and fix my stuff. My last 2 shorts prove it lol…and of course all the other videos.

That wall kick exercise is great! Couldn't do it at first, but in less than an hour now I can! You can do a lot with that. Instead of bouncing off at max throttle you can apply enough to arrest your speed, then kind of 'perch' on the wall for a second. Then you can apply yaw to face down and rip away or flip off of it. I've been playing the Hannover map on Liftoff, lots of buildings there. You can just kick off from one wall to the next to the next. Kind of like a half pipe. I like it! The struggle I found is getting that pitch angle just right. You can easily overshoot or undershoot. As I approach the wall I pitch up and look to make the top of the building my new 'horizon' and that seems to work pretty well. That was worth including here, even if it seems a little advanced. It makes for a valuable drill.

This is a post of despair!! I have two Pixhawk Cube and CUAV 5+. After 5 years of use, I was convinced that PX4 & Ardupilot is the worst system! Many dozens of updates have been released and almost nothing changes, constant errors and a drone crash. I could have assumed that the problem was with the flight controller, but I used three new ones! ! Out of curiosity, I bought a flight controller - a Boeing Paladin..... AND A MIRACLE HAPPENED !!! I didn't even know that such stable systems existed. Flight readiness occurs 5 seconds after the battery is connected, positioning accuracy is 2-3 cm. Flight stability is excellent

liftoff should have crash counter,would be fun to see stats at the end of the training :D

Thanks so much for these tutorials. I'm using DRL with an XB1 controller on PC to start. The tutorials don't keep you honest, and sometimes push you through even though you crashed or missed your mark. Other times they cut you off the second you go off course, and they often don't let you practice recovery. Using freestyle mode and loosely following your videos has been a much better learning expereince, even though I'm using a different simulator.

I actually think I need this… I got a new quad and crashed into something and disarmed, drone inertia carried it off and make an arc and cracked my cameras… should train on crash recovery

I prefer the disarm in midair technique

Thanks to your vids! Almost done with my 5” build and feeling decently confident in my ability to at least get a good maiden flight soon.
