Consider taking our introduction to drone course at CSU Channel Islands. Formally ESRM 370-Introduction to Remotely Piloted Systems, this course will expose you to all the practical skills needed to safely, responsibly, and legally operate unpiloted aerial systems (UAS) in a variety of environmental settings. We use our drones to document post-disaster conditions, pollution events, long-term environmental change, vegetation condition, survey endangered species, and conduct behavioral observations of migratory marine mammals.
We offer this course each fall and then have students deploy these skills in the field in the spring (in Maui, New Orleans, etc.).
You can find this class (ESRM 370) or any of our Field-based courses and enroll in our Schedule of classes here: www.csuci.edu/...
