That temp should be 58 and above. Both lakes should be turning on. I fished here on Lake Tenkiller this evening. Didn’t catch any bass but did catch 8 white bass. Gonna go all day tomorrow. I found 57 degree water. Should be 58 and above tomorrow. Whack em. May God Bless. jimmy

jimmy, i have a question about the correct way to hold my new J.H. crappie rod. 🤔first, are you right handed? I am. If you are right handed, than I've been holding my rod wrong, reeling with my right hand and the reel up. I don't care if People laugh, fishing is worth learning to do better at. I watch you fish a lot and appreciate all you share. it has made my life more exciting learning to be able to know how to fish by myself and brings peace of mind. thank you and may Jesus Bless you.

You can put the reel handle on the other side where you can reel with your right hand. The reel needs to be in the bottom of the rod. I reel with my left hand with a spinning reel and with my right hand with a casting reel. If you are more comfortable reeling with your right hand, just move that reel handle to the right side! Unscrew the cap in the right side, pull the handle straight out and move it to the right and screw the cap on the left. Problem solved. Thanks. Godspeed. jimmy

yes, i just learned a few things watching this. what is power pole down? i am slow, but i have a new Ji mmy Houston Crappie rod, reel and excited about crappie fishing is coming up. i'm putting a lil thermometer in my fishn' box and watching for trees to bud. going to cotton wood reserviour, in southern idaho for crappie soon. It is fun. hope i catch a bunch! thank you.

Power pole down means he was going to try and deploy his power pole shallow water anchors but he was too deep

The Power Poles are the shallow water anchor poles on the back of my boat. Power Pole down is when we hit the down button and stop the boat right where we are. If you are anywhere close to Dwarshack Lake, it has the best smallmouth bass in the country. They are really fun. Whack em. May God Bless! jimmy
