Are you hungry and you don't know how to order food in Spanish? You are about to get really fat [gordita] because after watching this lesson you will not be hungry for the next two light-years. You will order so much food just to practice the Spanish I am teaching you here, that you will even take some home and it will go bad. I prepared this Spanish class for you because I was inspired by my own ugly experience. I remember I was once in San Diego and I did not speak English, and I was hungry for two days because I did not know how to order and I was scared people would make fun of me. I finally saw a taco place and said: Oh! Those are Mexicans for sure and speak Spanish so I will troglodyte right now. Learn to order food in Spanish, and stop suffering from Spanish hunger. Spanish hunger is the worst because you will smell the most delicious food and if you do not watch my lesson you will wish you did because your mouth will melt. Oh well, I love food, but Mexican and Spanish food are my favorites. I could live on an island eating mole, tacos, paella valenciana, tortilla de patatas, torta de choriqueso, arroz con frijoles, and all those loving-fatty foods from my Spanish culture. Don't know ANY spanish. I was trying to learn how to count in Spanish when I came across your videos. I had to stop to tell you that not only are you excellent at relaying the idea, but your personality is excellent and helping someone learn Spanish. You're one of the best teachers that I've ever seen. Keep up the good job

This Mexican chica and me pronounce the r' s exactly the same. I watch other Spanish videos, but I always come back to cross reference what the others say. Sometimes Anna goes on a tangent. But being pure native is extremely valuable.

Wow... Your videos just keep getting better. Muchas, muchas gracias Ana! Being allergic to dairy, I was told (in Reynosa) to order with the tags "no queso, no crema". It seems to work, but "sin queso" is a nice alternative. They said there wasn't a good translation for "sour cream" so just use "crema". I'm glad you added that part to your class, as there are many other people with food allergies who need the extra vocabulary.

Mmm! Where I grew up in the States we have a big Mexican community there and there is a wonderful taco truck just down the road from my house. I've been living in the UK for two years now and am about to move back home next month and ooh me I can't wait to go there and get some proper tacos! I'll have to try out the tips in this lesson :)

Olivlogger Charlatana is a bad word to describe her because in México it means (mainly) cheater or conman -> someone that lies others. I think its better to describe her as a "parlanchina" that is, someone that speaks a lot.

I used to have a client who converted trucks into food trucks. There are also trucks that have ordinary vegetables and fruit parked in some neighborhoods, where the residents there can get food without walking far or taking a bus to a super market.

I lived in San Antonio and worked construction. San Antonio is Mexico Norte. I had to learn shorthand Spanish to get by on the job. I never learned the language enough to be conversational but, again, enough to do my job. I had Spanish lessons in grade school but they didn't apply to conversation. This lady seems to make it easier to comprehend and I could probably learn to converse with her. That said...Yo quiero Taco Bell. The taqueria down the street has weird hours and I haven't figured it out yet. I gotta go and try this new knowledge out.

One of the reasons I love your videos is for your " accent " , yet one of my & most students of foreign languages biggest fear is We won't speak with a " Spanish " accent . Could you do a video that explains just like with English , their are hundreds of Native Speaking & non Native Speaking accents in Spanish , just like in English but you'll Always be understood .. Good lesson Anna. I always wondered why Mexicans gave me that half-smile, 'you have no idea what you're talking about'-look when I asked "estas en la linea?" It's because they don't say it like that, they would ask: 'estas formado(a)?" Super tips! Thanks again Anna
