as a real beginner, learning the notes on the sheet music is harder than copying the finger work. so I am doing a lot of replaying of the actual playing.. Thank you for the lesson by the way. I did hope that you were going to play the full song at the end
Very clearly broken down in easy step by step methodical manner. Perhaps not repetitive enough but the saddest detail (which isn’t one) is that all the free music scores announced on this video are no longer available and the link automatically sends you to paying tutorials. Is this the price we have to pay for success?
I've mastered reading notes on pipes but when I play it sounds all wrong. How much air pressure is best for bagpipes? Scottish Highland Black Rosewood type thanks.
None of the free sheet music sheets you mention seem to be available. If they are no longer available or free, you might want to modify your statements which could appear as false or untrue advertising.
You Seem to hold the LA as dotted at the beginning of the tune ,the end of line 1 and the end of line 3. The music shoes undoubted even notes. I prefer and play the former.
All the bagpipe music, are composed on C major? (do mayor). If this is correct, then play bagpipe is easier than I imagined. I can play mandolin and violín and read music. But I can't find the partitura.
Bagpipe music is Bb... however the scale is a simple pentatonic. Pipe cannot transpose, but instruments that can can still play with pipes if they transpose to Bb.
rgjcalvin Johnson I would recommend McCallum chanter and I would recommend Kintail bagpipes. I personally use both of these and have never had a problem. I bought my bagpipes 2nd hand off of somebody and after spending a bit of money getting a new bag and new drone reeds they have had no problems, the Kintail chanter on the pipes is very sharp and having a good quality reed with that makes them sound amazing. for a practice chanter if you're planning on moving onto the pipes or if you already have make sure you've got a full sized on so when you go onto the pipes your fingers will be in the correct place. when you're buying bagpipes don't go for cheap, if you see a cheap set go do some research on them, I would strongly recommend spending that bit more on good quality pipes that will last you a life time if you treat them well.
when you watch the you tube a box will pop up on the upper right side click it and it will take you to the sight scroll down read and put info in then the sheet music you can click on will pop up
You can learn "by ear". It's done all the time. Eventually, it will hold you back a bit... for instance when you want to learn a new tune, and none of your band mates or teachers know it.
