(I'm watching this 4 months after it was published.) I've learned from all the internet instructors over they years and only discovered your channel 2 weeks ago. Your lessons are different: You say the note names and theory behind the cords. You walk us through positively and patiently. I'm confident that I could learn these from you. Just found this.... Worked it out while ago but friend of mine needs to learn more demanding songs to do solo so I suggested this... Stunning Angela!! I'm in Surrey England..... Favourite rock singer? Tie between James Dewar (Robin Trower ).….. and.... Errr.... Mmmm.....?.... Ah..... Eddie Vedder - though Mr Cornell and Layne Stayley still move me!

A very little late here, but hands down my favourite rock/grunge/alternative singer, is of course, CHRIS CORNELL!!! Followed in close 2nd, is MAYNARD JAMES KEENAN!!! Both are the very, very! best! at what they do/did. Still can't believe Chris isn't with us anymore. What a f@#king voice he had! And an amazing lyricist!

1:00:00, that was a HORRIBLE Chris Cornell impression, but it was a GREAT Sheryl Crow impression! Great lesson and pretty much how I learned it by ear, and I agree with you, it's my favorite version of that song too. I like it played a little more grungy, lots of deep palm muting, and really heavy pick digging on that 3-beat in the chorus, but like you said...add your own creativity.

This acoustic version brings out what is a truly a brilliant composition. Cornell’s untimely passing is a real loss as he was actually incredibly brilliant.

At the moment I'm going through a Ronnie James Dio phase, but the best rock singer, hmmm, tough one. p.s. Sign of the Southern Cross from Dio (Black Sabbath) for the acoustic intro. 😀
