my school may be doing phantom, i’m dying to play christine. but if i get anything, even ensemble, i’ll be happy!

I’m sooo late to this video but I’ve just started singing (on my own-getting a vocal coach soon!) and I love singing the songs from phantom of the opera, partially Christine’s parts because I can actually hit her notes! I’ve got my heart set on one day playing her, if I don’t I might die!!

How do you stretch your range to reach the very high notes Christine sings? I believe the highest is an E6?

Oh WOW Chelsea. I have just discovered this and listened, but not carried out the warm up yet because my singing is finished for today, but this is on my agenda for tomorrow. I am researching all the West End/Broadway warm ups because although I sing opera, my main genre is musical theatre. I have not quite managed the top note in POTO yet but I never give up. i’m 14 and i’ve been practicing to be seen i was little. one day i’m going to be Christine on a broadway stage :)

I did this for fun while i had nothing to do, i was so surprised when i realised i could hit the last note of phantom of the opera (E6) i still really needed to work on my breath control and sometimes my vibrato can lose control so this really helped me!

Thxs for helping me show much the phantom of the opera is my favorite but I all was want to play Christine I was little it my dreams to play her and I was all was a little nervous because of my skin color but now I know that everybody can be do they want to be color does not matter I'm going to college to do the high note like her and I'm looking at RU-vid videos so I can practice and practice practicing and praying until that day comes😅

I'm wondering how far I'd get with voice training and how to just let go and enjoy singing

One thing I don't know is put the voice out, seems like I'm always sing low or in "insede", you can make some exercise for it? Like protect the voice, sometimes I think that I'm don't have enough voices to sing 😔

This is hard to try😅 not easy to be operatic singer My mom said my voice is not bad trying to sing Phantom of the opera, the hardest part to sing is the Ah..ah I've been starting to sing last November last year, my mom is a classical pianist she's 77 years old a grade level 6 in piano I'm in my early 40s so its mean not to late to study singing, I spend 2 hours to 3 hours for 3 times a week voice basic training to sing alternative rock, classic 80s and this latest phantom of the opera
