LEARN TWI IN 20 MINUTES: Basic Twi lessons for Beginners and Tourists | Akwaaba| With Adwoa Lee
Twi also known as Akan Kasa, is a dialect of the Akan language spoken in southern and central Ghana by several million people, mainly of the Akan tribe which is the largest of the seventeen major ethnic groups in Ghana. Twi has about 17-18 million speakers in total, including second-language speakers; about 29% of the Ghanaian population speaks Twi as a first or second language.
If you are visiting Ghana as a tourist or you just want to learn Twi as a beginner this is the video for you. I hope this video was helpful.
If you have any suggestions let me know and i will be happy to work on more Twi lessons

Yes my husband is Ghanaian and he is the kindest sweetest man I ever met. His family that knows about me excepts me but he hasn't told his grandmother because she is very old and did not want him to marry an obruni, but I know she would be very nice to me. He just doesn't want to give her a heart attack lol.

Thank you so much for making this; when I was about 6 or 7, my grandma tried teaching me twi, but it’s been years since i’ve been able to see her, and i’ve lost pretty much everything that I was taught through the years :,O I’m hoping I can slowly gain it back for the next time I get to see her, I miss having that connection between us. I feel like i’ve lost so much valuable information about Ghana. I’m still on the basics but seeing creators like you help teach the language is so lovely to see, I don’t know many other resources that offer twi. I’ll be binge watching n adding your videos to my playlist ASAPP !!! I appreciate you taking the time to do this more than you know ❤️❤️❤️

Woow! Well done. This is very impressive. Pls can I humbly make this correction. In Akan the word bebree* is used for countable nouns*. For instance, nkwadaa bebree (many children). Or ntoosi bebree (many tomatoes). On the other hand, pii* or paa* is used for uncountable or abstract nouns depending on the context. Eg Medaase pii (Thanks a lot) or nsuo pii (a lot of water). Just as many is used for countable nouns and a lot is used for uncountable nouns in English. However, some people use them interchangeably.
