Humf’s Mum took Humf downstairs to play with Loon. Loon has a friend playing with her called Bewla and she tells Humf that Bewla is her best friend. Humf is upset because he thought that he was Loon’s best friend so he goes to play with Wallace. They soon realise they can all be best friends together.
When Humf and his friends have lunch together, they all want to sit next to Uncle Hairy. Then they all go to the park but everyone wants to hold Uncle Hairy’s hand! So they all hold hands together. But they find out that can’t sit on Uncle Hairy’s lap together - not without getting squashed!
Humf was playing with Wallace and Loon. They were all measuring how tall they were and how much they had grown. When Loon gets big she wants to be a doctor. When Wallace gets big he wants to be a racing car. And Humf grows up and gets big he wants to be a dad.
Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and purple and cuddly. At three years old Humf is full of wonder at the world, and is always eager to explore the new things he sees around him. Humf knows what the questions are, even if the answers take a little longer to find.
