Loon is pushing the pushchair and doesn’t want to give Humf a turn. She tells him he has to say “please” or people won’t like him. So Humf says “please” and Loon gives him a turn, but she’s not very happy about it. In the end they decide it’s best to push the pushchair together.
One day Humf’s Mum took Humf downstairs to play with Loon. Loon had made a special house to play in under the kitchen table. This was fun until Loon made too many rules so Humf made his own house under the bed. Loon and Humf soon realised that playing together was much more fun and Loon stopped making rules.
Humf has a little dog on wheels that he can pull along on a string. It is a toy that he has had since he was a baby. But when he takes it to the park, Loon calls it a baby toy and Humf is embarrassed. So he decides to leave it in the park and then wishes that he hadn’t. He still likes his dog on wheels.
Humf is a furry thing. He is short and round and purple and cuddly. At three years old Humf is full of wonder at the world, and is always eager to explore the new things he sees around him. Humf knows what the questions are, even if the answers take a little longer to find.
