As someone wanting to get into industrial robotics for manufacturing is there a programming language you suggest to study beforehand? Or do you find that each robot has its own specific software? Is learning something like C++ useful?

Hey, I'm trying to program an emergency stop that lets me stop the motion of the robot at any given position. I was thinking about using the instruction StopMove, but I can't get for the robot to stop immediatly. Do you have any suggestion?
