Chad your an animal man! I bet a lot of the young cats are saying to themselves wtf is a miller flip!!?? Anyways, your a real inspiration to us older dudes and this is a really good way to commit to constant progression. Love what you do brother and i appreciate you man. 🙏
My man I love watching you skate and learn tricks. Gets me psyched at 37 to get out and learn new tricks. Honestly once I warm up I can’t tell that I’m almost 40. It’s always the next day lmao. What beats me up worse than skating is my gd desk job 😂
It's such a cool trick! A friend of mine has mastered the Miller Flip. When he first started learning, he'd rotate on his butt-we called it the "butt-flip." It might actually be the easiest way to learn. But over time, he improved, lifting his body off the ramp and keeping his butt in the air. He started going higher and higher until he could fully clear the lip, placing his hand on the coping like a proper handplant. But he didn't stop there. He went even higher! We have a photo where he's fully airborne, board up, head down, with his arm extended toward the coping-though he's not quite reaching it. He only touches the coping on his way down.
Awesome 🙌🏻 would love to see some more old school vert-esque tricks. Fakie Thruster, layback air, layback grind, fs invert etc obviously all styled out to the max 😜 in fact it would be cool to go on a “long forgotten” trick quest to unearth some stuff that nobody does anymore ☺️👊🏼
Good job man! Took myself a dozen of tries to get it. What helped me the most was to actually flip it around proper, instead of losing momentum on like half a flip/front side invert ish which feels safer but its harder to stick the roll away and your guiding hand won't get beat up
hand plants are such a lost art these days. I’d love to see a big, bold, badass, stylish backside boneless like they did in the 80s. that’s another lost one. when I see them today, 99% of them are these quick little dainty versions.
Been following your channel since you drove across the country in your Dodge Neon learning new tricks! I believe we are around the same age, and I still skateboard till this day also. 🤙 Keep up the great content brother
i like to screw around with switch bs inverts sometimes just for fun but I could see those being helpful for the landing part of those miller flips as it's the same motion. but with switch invert you don't have to send it so hard and can work your way up from low down on the ramp.
Miller flip on a mini is mental. Vert will help you with the rotation that’s why your rotation were so wide. I know it’s not politically correct but what about a Gay twist or a woolly mammoth.
You wouldn't have included all the slams and getting beat up if you didn't want it in there for comedic effect. Let me tell you, it was one of the funniest videos you have made. But damn, I would like to see more of our locals trying hand stuff because of this ground-breaking moment. Sick!
hey them close ups is what ended my career on a 4 foot ramp. Blunt sexchange to nose blunt and the board shot out on me and sllid down the ramp slowlye dislocating my shoulder plated all the way down. dont think for a second you cant get wrecked on mini- its the easiest way to the hospital
I know the origin of that graphic, and who the original artist is. The 2 tailed tomcat was original tail art on fighter squadron 32s F14 Tomcat in the 1980s, based in Virginia Beach. Tomcat community credo was "anytime baby." The artists name is Allen Robey. Just some FYI and history.
Progress was sooo sick! Looks like you pull too far to the left, most people i watch doing milles pull a little bit more backwards than sidewards. Looks muck like you do a fs 360 with a hand down. Still super sick tho!
