Minho is like SO annoyingly perfect that it almost makes you hate him but he's too sweet and such a lovable person u end up falling in love instead hahaha
True. I hv to admit, he's my least fav member when Shinee debuted, coz he's annoyingly perfect in, idol sense, but he won me over soon after. Not by his looks but by his heart. I can see he's genuinely kind.
For many people, it seems fake or try hard or insincere. Even Key mentioned it, it is hard to take except you know that minho is real. The nerd jock gentleman is all true and all him.
Minho ripped his pants and blamed key because key was the concert clothes Designer(he designs SHINee concert wear since 2013-14 till 2017, recently they haven't had a concert for him to design for... But he gets a lot of say in SHINee's choice of clothing for MVs, events etc)... So minho was complaining(joking) that key didn't make the clothes durable (but it's mainly because they dance sharp moves with so much power, Taemin is the same too... In SHINee,minho and taemin are the ones who rip their clothings frequently because of dancing😆)
Just want to correct you he designed and have a say about SHINee and himself clothes only since 2015-2016. 2015 with the album concept and his own outfits and since 2016 on the concerts clothes
Minho is considered the pillar of the group because he's always there to support SHINee during group activities or each solo project of the members. Even though he's busy with acting or his own individual schedules, he always tried to make time for the members. You can see it from the way he's always taking care of Onew until this day (they lived together at their dorm since debut up until Minho went to do his military service, Onew lived alone at the dorm and Minho got his own place), at how he visited Jonghyun's Blue Night Radio when he has time and to make up the time he didn't get to see him because both of them are too busy, how despite the constant banter between Key and Minho; they're each other's best friend cause they always fell to the right understanding at the end of the day cause they knew enough about each other and how he went to almost all of Taemin's solo concert to give out his support even though he's busy or just sending food trucks or padding jacket to Taemin and his fellow staffs (the one in the video is Minho going to Taemin's Sirius Concert in Japan when he got a day off from the Marine). Basically, he's the most kind-hearted man and every SHINee member found comfort in his arms. He's a really amazing artist too despite his artistry being overshadowed by his visual, but Minho has been there since the beginning, writing lyrics for the songs and giving out his own opinions for the tracks. He's loved by everyone because of his polite personality, for being sweet and respectful and so many other things. It's true about him being the perfect guy but you can't even say anything about it cause Minho is really the sweetest man alive
Minho literally has the biggest heart ever. A fandom nickname for him is 'Choi "Tenderheart" Minho'. He's sweet, thoughtful, gentle, sensitive, love kids, and his members, and his friends endlessly. Honestly, anyone who gets to know Choi Minho irl, is truly blessed. Not to mention his sheer determination and talent. What a man! He so hardworking, and deserves all the love and praise in the world.
Onew, Key and Minho enlisted in the military in 2018 to serve their mandatory 18 months as part of their duties as a South Korean citizen. Onew was discharged in July, Key was discharged in October and Minho was discharged in November. Taemin is the only member who hasn't done his military service yet, because he is 2 to 4 years younger then the rest of the SHINee members, so he was still young enough that he chose to wait to enlist. This gave Taemin time to focus on his solo activities and it allowed him to be the representative for SHINee in order to keep the group in the public eye. However, now that the other members have been discharged, Taemin will most likely be enlisting later this year to start serving his 18 months. Taemin is 27 years old and he is the same age now that Key and Minho were when they enlisted, so it is thought that after SHINee's comeback activities are over they will probably announce Taemin's enlistment date and he will start to prepare to take his hiatus. Plus, the other members have been encouraging him to do it and get it out of the way, and it's also pretty good timing because he has just finished a very successful solo run and he will be coming off an epic SHINee promotional tour, so he will be well set to take a break. All able-bodied native Korean males must serve 18 months in the military or conscripted public service before the age of, I think, 30. (They used to be required to serve a full 2 years before the age of 32, but a few years ago the South Korean government reduced the service time and age limit.) It's just a requirement as a Korean citizen. This is how they insure that they always have a fresh and ready group of soldiers. Technically, the Korean War is still going on, it has never actually ended. So although they currently have a truce with North Korea, South Korea needs to always be on alert and ready just in case North Korea decides to attack. So Korea's military is always active. All male Kpop stars who are native South Korean will take a hiatus at some point to serve their country, so we fans are left waiting for the members to return. And while in the military it is against the law for them to do anything except their military duties or whatever their public service job they are assigned to is. So Korean men are granted time off from their jobs or career to serve. Military service is actually looked at as a big honor, and although Idols are sad to have to leave fans and take a break from their careers, they embrace their service as a duty to their country and a right of passage. But most of the time entertainers are not just serving like a regular soldier, often they petition to be part of activities that keep them working in entertainment type jobs. For example, Onew spent his time serving on the military's promotional team performing in musical productions of plays based on a military themed story, alongside several other Kpop stars who were also serving at the same time. And Key auditioned to be a part of the military marching band/orchestra so he spent his time as a percussionist and MC for public events or performing as part of the entertainment during military events. And Minho, who is known for being one of the top athletes served in an elite branch of the Marines where he became a decorated leader and one of the top members of his unit. However, we also were able to see Minho participate in military events and even soccer matches while in the military. So, even while they are away serving, if you search RU-vid, you can find fancam videos of most of them, where members of the public during special events have recorded the Idols as they are performing, etc. So we usually still get plenty of content from them, even when they are on hiatus. :D Fun fact: Minho and Suho have been good friends since trainee days. Suho was actually training to be a member of SHINee when, right before SHINee was set to debut, he injured his knee and had to sit out for a while, so SM decided to debut SHINee without "Suho." And since then, Minho has said that he has always felt a little guilty that he had to debut and leave Suho behind. Suho had to wait 4 more years -- a total of 7 years as a trainee -- before he debuted. However, I think it has worked out for the best because if Suho hadn't been sidelined he would have never become the leader, and as the members of EXO say, he was meant to be a leader. When SHINee debuted it was almost a given that whomever was the oldest of a group would become the leader and Onew is 2 years older than him. But when EXO debuted, the culture had changed and the leader was no longer necessarily the oldest member anymore.
😂 Key's IG live clip! A few things to add: Taemin hasn't done his military duty yet, he is the last one to do it. I think it will be coming in a year or two. 😭 Minho was scouted by SM staff while at a ski resort. At first his mother was convinced it was a scam and tore up the business card that he was given by SM scouts but they were so persistent in calling him that eventually Minho and his mother realized it wasn't a scam! Minho unfortunately doesn't have an album of solo music yet; he has only released the one song "I'm Home" so far. Hopefully he will release an album soon. Minho chose the Marines which fits with his hardcore, competitive personality so well. He even turned in his leave at the end of his enlistment period rather than leave service early. At the time military personnel were not able to take leave during their service due to covid so they were released from service "early" (i.e. able to take their vacation time as a block at the end of their service). However Minho turned down this chance to leave early and stayed on active duty up to his last day so he could participate in training exercises and pass on the knowledge he'd gained to junior soldiers. 🔥🔥🔥 I think a lot of people overlook Minho as a member of SHINee because of many unfair reasons but he is truly the compassionate heart of SHINee. He is such a caring, amazing, good-hearted person and he is extremely talented with music, dance, sports, and acting. Thanks for reacting to this video! I think it would be amazing if (after watching Taemin's video) you could also watch some of their variety shows that they have been on, such as Knowing Brothers (Men on a Mission), Weekly Idol, Idol Room, or Amazing Saturday (Onew, Key, and Minho were all on a very recent episode to promote Don't Call Me). Now that you know a bit about them it will be really fun for you to see their personalities in action, and SHINee on any variety show is just pure hilarious chaos to watch. 😂😂😂
Because while he is competitive af, he is humble about his actual contributions musically (he doesn't think it is anything much) when in fact he is quite consistently second for whatever they need done (except fashion, he leaves that to key and jjong) he has good ideas but almost always second guesses himself if anyone doesn't support it. so happy we are seeing DCM bts for proof of his work

I wish we could see more behind the scenes to really show his contributions since debut, I think the amount of work he has done even since debut would surprise a lot of people. I feel like he really needs to be given more credit. It makes me sad to see little things like him not getting a lot of views on recent "fancam" videos for the music shows. I hope Shawols show him lots of love in the future! ❤️
@@dheu I think it's because he is vanilla now, unfortunately he has become almost a template or kdrama oppa/hyung trope for idols and non fans see that thinking they know him whereas the others are seen as more unique. Just listening to their banter and teasing, i felt sad that he didn't implement his ideas. His shyness and insecurity aside,, he should own up to his older sexier senior idol side. Not sure we'll survive though😅.

The reason why he's my ult bias - he's still constantly improving himself and is the sweetest, most thoughtful human being. Even kids tend to gravitate to him. Sure he's competitive but that really stems from wanting to do his best and valuing fair play. So it was no surprise for me when he chose to join the Marine Corps - all the drills helped too as I noticed that his singing and dancing has improved in the current comeback 😄 As for Taemin - I'm guessing that he will enlist at the 2nd half of this year as he is expected to return on time for SHINee's 15th anniversary in May 2023 - that's a significant milestone for any idol

Minhos Visuals are insane. I remember way back then when they release View and alot of Polls conducted to whom Kpop Idols are Visually Attractive. Minho Never left Top 3 most of the polls. Not only that he is very handsome, he is also a very Good Dancer when you put him on other group he can a potential main dancer despite of his height ( usually tall guys have difficulties in dancing ). Ah Minho, my first ever bias, who introduced me to kpop. I loved him in Hwarang, that historical drama with him in traditional clothes. I got so curious that I kept watching videos of him, with me persistently resisting listening to their songs. Never did I imagine I would come to appreciate kpop- I have listened to Western alternative and rock music my whole life. Then eventually I saw a video of Shinee’s live performance in Japan, and I said to myself, ah, this is why people are crazy over kpop! Lol! The rest is history! I am now an SM trash, where people are just pure visuals and so vocally talented. Baekhyun and DO are my ultimate biases now just because I appreciate vocals more than rap, but you know what they say, first love never dies. Lol!

Minho is such a sweet friend and brother! His parents are so lucky having him as a child. Although you can’t teach a person to have a good character, but thanks to his family and SHINee that he became a person that he is ought to be. Such a down to earth person!

Love the reaction! Taemin has not yet done his military service, but he will most likely enlist soon, like maybe a year or two. Speaking of the shopping malls, it tends to be late at night, sometimes in the morning. Either that or they pay for like a day off, but that tends to not happenAt least for Running Man, there have been lots of shoots through midnight/early morning hours, but I don't know the specific shooting time of that particular episode. I'm so genuinely proud to be a Shawol, the community feels so safe and welcoming. Let's keep enjoying the journey!

Minho's dad was a soccer player on South Korea's 1988 soccer team. (I guess South Korea hosted that year.). Now he's a professional soccer coach and Minho really wanted to follow in his footsteps but his dad wouldn't allow it (he said Minho's build is too small) so Minho was chased down by a SM street recruiter who liked his looks and he became a kpop star.
Yes Running Man films usually throughout the night when they film inside shopping malls like here. They often "take advantage" of this in the show as well, as in the time the doors will open the next morning is often a deadline for the games etc. Especially in older RM episodes tho.
I went to the BANGKOK stop of his fanmeet and when I heard Minho sing, esp. that THAI SONG titled PLEASE.. instantly I decided I HAVE TO SEE HIM SING LIVE, MORE AGAIN! So I went to the Encore Shows in Korea few weeks after. I didn’t understand Korean or Thai, but enjoyed a lot!

I have been in love with Minho since I first saw him in the dream team clip, his competitive spirit, his aggressiveness when it comes to sports and contrastingly being gentle when it comes to his friends, team members or anyone for that matter. The show that Minho was chasing everyone down on is Running Man which is super popular with the general public in South Korea so they probably did close it down for a period of time for the show to use. You should search for old episodes (this one had Minho and SNSD) they are so much fun and absolutely hilarious. Love your channel, btw.

Tamin didn't do military yet, but the rest did and came back already, i remember when i was watching shinee there where a TV show named hello baby and there i started to know how much Minho is good with kids, his voice though so pretty i don't want to compare or something but his position and the fact he can sing so well and his tone is low reminds me of chanyeol from exo, and about the shirtless part this is something that sm likes to do a lot and kill us, and i love minho personality so much, I'm starting to come back to shinee and hear them, i had hard time after we lost jonghyun and i couldn't hear their music but now i feel i can comeback to them and stan them back
SUHO AND MINHO are best friends Suho suppose to debut as SHINEE but Suho promised his parents to gradute first or take an exam first if he pass Suho can debut thats why Suho is the longest trainee time before debut and it hurts Minho that they kinda drift apart because Minho wanted to debut with Suho.. But after Suhi debut as EXO.. Minho was happy for him and they talked about what happen when they travel to INDIA for a SHOW... Things Happened for reason but i think Charisma and Passion it what they Learned from each other..
Now I’ve read that just before he was to debut with Shinee, he hurt his leg and couldn’t debut. So he went back into training. Hard to imagine Suho in Shinee. His vocals would have been awesome. Also hard to imagine him NOT as EXOS leader.

ahhh i remember their talk on the show in India!! Minho talked about how, when he realized he'd be debuting before Suho, he told Suho he wasn't going to call him "hyung" (older bro). I think it's cuz Minho was trying to shield Suho from fans realizing Minho debuted before Suho AND is younger than him, but I don't think he expressed it well, and a misunderstanding happened instead. I'm so glad they were able to clear things up on that trip

I love seeing how close they are with each other.. And with other agency artists.. i hope fandom can really stop making conflict with the artists and just enjoy watching them having fun and being friends with each other..
Some of my favorite Minho things are that 1. When they are doing a dance challenge like the two times fast, he still tries to dance full out. Typically you notice idols just his key poses and don't really try to still "perform" when they do them. Not Choi Minho. He still serves and wears himself out doing it. 2. He is the first idol to choose ot serve in the marines for his military service. Most go into the army, but extra Minho decided to go the harder route. Towards the end of serving he could have basically been done early because of saved up vacation time but he chose to stay and finish with his unit. Then as soon as he was discharged he went straight to a Taemin event. He was still in his uniform and everything. **Dec. 2017 Warning** 3. He was so brotherly to all of the members that he held a very important position in Jonghyun's funeral that is normally for blood relatives. He was a rock for Jonghyun's mother and sister during one of the most difficult times in their lives. He doesn't love small, he loves with his whole being.

Ah Choi Minho. Hes such a great guy and so handsome too????? He's such a good person with amazing personality. He was in the Marine Corp in the military! Minho once complained that SHINee songs are too high pitched xD Minho is 5 foot 11 inches! I highly recommend To The Beautiful You. It's really fun! ISACs are really fun to watch sometimes! Minho! My bias! But let's be honest... what is a bias in SHINee when you can't help but love all the 5 members so much it's maybe not healthy! Yes, Minho is basically perfect. He is so sweet and considerate. I saw so many clips of him along the years being just super sweet with the staff or his members or anyone.... that's how he became my bias! And he is so hardworking..... he has so much motivation and loves SHINee and music so deeply ... it's really a honor to be able to stan him honestly! I love his voice, how he has such a sweet voice when he sings and such a "flaming charisma" voice when he raps! Taemin still has to enlist... he was keeping SHINee's name brightly by doing his solo career and also with SuperM. He is younger than Baekhyun so he still has at least more than a year before he will be forced to enlist (2022 will be sad once again). About the video of Changmin (TVXQ), Kyuhyun (Super Junior), Suho and him dressed as women and dancing to a sexy song.... you have to watch it even if it's not for a reaction video! The Kyu line is very entertaining! Honestly you can find a good amount of clips of Minho (or SHINee) dressed as girl, they are all very pretty.
Yes, when they shoot Running man in public spaces they do it outside of visiting hours ^^ usually after it closed! Imagine being that poor cameraman who had to run behind him with all of his equipement... I used to watch Dream Team just for Minho's appearances, he's so good you can't believe he's an idol and not a professional athlete when you watch him!
That episode of Running Man it’s the cast and Girls Generation he was chasing (idk if you could tell that was Sooyoung kicking him.) That whole chasing around the mall section is the funniest thing and Minho was a beast. (The girls were also hilarious). And Minho with kids is just...so cute.

Minho was one of my first bias when I started getting into kpop 10 years ago and he is still one of my ults!! I just love how sweet he is. Specially with kids and his members 🥰 he is passionate in everything he does too. Just a perfect person! 💕
lmaoooo i dont think u noticed but the episode on running man where he was running and ripping name tags was when snsd was a guest - the girl with the short hair and yellow shirt was Sooyoung. Also on 2 (not 1 LOL 2) of the mentioned sports competitions his partner was fx Krystal - she is also very athletic
He is the same age as Suho, but minho calls suho 'hyung'. I think it's because he respects suho. Suho entered SM earlier than minho, he was supposed to debut with shinee, but got delayed and debuted with EXO instead. All shinee members are close with suho. They always insert Suho's name on "Thanks To" section in their album.
Also the Korean age system means suho technically is in an older age bracket while minho being a December baby falls in the next age bracket. My ahgase daughter says Jackson and Jaebum have the same thing going and Jackson's response isn't as accepting since he is Chinese and it's only a few months difference
Recently he revealed his competitiveness comes from his feeling of lacking (bitch what pls) in comparison with his as he says perfect older brother who in his words is very handsome, always got best grades (even went to the best uni in SK), was more popular with everyone at school, and a better athlete.
True. Which then gets magnified by a million when he ends up in a group like Shinee where you have the best leader, voice, dancer and personality in kpop. He has repeatedly said he feels those hate comments saying he is the talent hole in shinee and he works so hard to no be a burden to the group.
