sooyoung is my bias in snsd, she's so talented in everything. among all the dramas she acted in, i really recommend the crime/thriller "tell me what you saw", easily the best kdrama i've watched. she's currently acting in the ongoing drama "run on" and also has a movie coming out for new year's eve.

My favourite Sooyoung drama is Perfect Sense. It's one that definitely meant a lot to Sooyoung herself. Her dad has something called retinitis pigmentosa. I'm not sure if he's completely blind yet but when she first talked about it, he was going blind. It's a cause that's therefore very personal to her - possibly even beyond her father. It's a genetic disease so there is a possibly that she herself could develop it later or pass it on to any children she might have. She did a charity fundraiser where she auctioned off possession belonging to herself and other idols to raise funds to contribute towards research for a cure. There have been also been a couple of fan fundraising events (usually coming up to idols' birthdays, fans will raise money to donate to a cause in their idol's name). Perfect Sense was written to raise awareness of the illness and when Sooyoung was approached to star in it, she offered to do so pro-bono. Just knowing all that makes it a very emotional movie to watch as someone who has love and supported Sooyoung for...8 years now? How did THAT happen! lol But she also acts beautifully in it and the rest of the cast are also very, very talented.

Hi Austin. I would like to recommend a great artist to you, her name is Yerin Baek. She’s now a soloist. Even tho she’s a little young she puts her point of view in everything thing she does. Her writing are really something else, we can feel her sincerity in all of her songs and that’s really awesome. She just dropped a full album and three mvs from it, “0415”, “hate you” and “I’ll be your family”... even tho you cant react to her I would be really happy if could check her music on free time

I actually got into SNSD because of Sooyoung's drama My Spring Days. It's a total melodrama, which I normally don't like, can't rememeber what made me decide to watch it even. Anyway, despite being 100% predictable, it was really really well done, and all the acting was great. I loved Sooyoung's character and looked her up.. and fell down the rabbit hole :D

I love Sooyoung!! But that's cause I love all the members!!! Her and YoonA have been thin shamed multiple times despite them eating the most in the group, so she and YoonA brag to each other on gaining weight. Her vocals are more sweet and I would say she's the best vocalist from the dance line. I like her vocals and she's been training with her vocals since she seems to want to sing. She sang their song "Sailing" (a song that tells their journey in Girls' Generation with lots of references including Jessica's departure). She sang it alone and she did pretty good. Of course she wasn't perfect as she is still learning. And yesssss I'm excited for YoonA!!!

You have to watch their variety shows if you really want to get a good idea of what their personalities are like. Running Man and Knowing Bros are my two personal favorite shows. You can really tell they’re just full of crackhead energy. The scene you saw in 10:19 is actually from a running man episode, the members all have to solve a puzzle to get out of the building while trying to stay alive by avoiding the “killers”. In this case, Shinee’s Minho was one of the killers and was trying eliminate Sooyoung by pulling her name tag off. But Sooyoung manages to negotiate with him and convince him to let her live. Watching it made it crack up so much, the entire episode was just so good. SNSD really are the variety queens, they’re so comfortable with themselves and the MCs are just aren’t afraid to make a fool out of themselves or others.

Sooyoung is hilarious and when she's joined by her "frenemy" Hyo you can't stop laughing. Like you noticed she's also a truly good person despite her savage ways. Sooyoung did a movie about a girl that is going blind. It's called Perfect Sense, is only a bit over an hour long and it's here on RU-vid. Highly recommended if you don't mind crying a bit. If you like historical dramas watch Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Seohyun and Baekhyun have small roles and EXO-CBX were part of the OST. Warning: It's sad too. Yuri is currently filming a historical drama that should come out next year. In the meantime, I recommend her mini-drama (20 eps of 20 mins) Gogh the Starry Night because it's cute and hilarious.
