Commendable effort Teacher Colaz. A bit of teaching advice, if I may. Always teach starting from the simple and moving to the complex. So do a nuclear family first with parents and children and siblings families. He could create daddy's and/or mommy's family tree, grandma and grandpa trees siblings trees etc ... doing them separately first as smaller units before linking them using visuals like diagrams as you have attempted to do. This would reduce his cognitive load rather than trying to understand several generations at once. Using the marriage symbol is a good idea. Using different symbols to represent different familial relations would make it visual and if he's a visual learner which most kids today are he could catch on pretty quickly. To help him learn this easier you could also have used your own family or his. Making it relatable would help him apply the relationships in the family better. To reiterate what ypu have taught, you could ask Horace to research his own family and build a family tree based on his research. We'd love to know his roots too so if this wouldn't be challenging for him a 'Climber Goes on a Quest to Discover his Family Heritage' video could make for an interesting adventure/ content. The task would deepen his understanding about family trees and build his research skills. Maybe he could even use this same topic for his Social Studies SBA later. Using the genealogy services at the RGD could be helpful in this project.

This channel has lots of growth potential that goes beyond pure entertainment. Can be used for the Smith family children and the broader viewership. This could be converted into a college thesis with some research on a family line. Excellent job Colaz in guiding him through this maze. Climber is learning really fast snd you’re absolutely correct. The moment he reads more he will be able to “understand and solve” that goes for maths and English which he will need for sciences so he doesn’t become frustrated. We believe in you climber. Remain humble and continue to work with your dad in this way. I would suggest using a mixture of audio books aswell as physical books from different key stages so he can catch up. ❤️

Excellent effort Climer, and great job Colaz! I can understand that you may not have wanted to use the exact family tree that was in Climer's school book, but I agree with another person that commented about making it more relatable... I love the way you look out for Climer!!! That was evident to me (in a Colaz Smith TV video ) when Climer 'mashed-up' his arms and couldn't brush his teeth and you assisted him so attentively and caring. Just something else to think about with Climer's schooling / education etc, even though he may be behind please bare in mind that he could have other learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, sensory overload etc that may not be immediately apparent.
