As a DCS Viper enthusiast, I would love to see this as a full, detailed tutorial series between you two for the Viper. Most of the Viper videos out there are super dated. Thanks!

THIS PLEASEEEE! My cockpit is nearly completed, I am hooking up with some other n00b DCS pilots here in AZ and will be purchasing the Viper pretty soon (even though i'm a Tomcat guy ;) )

Unlikely to happen. I guess even if they wanted to do it, they would run the risk of touching classified things like tactical flying pretty soon. And these are exactly the things, where military flying really starts. It´s not about how to switch on the radar and shoot an AMRAAM. That´s in the manual. It´s about how to use this stuff in different tactical situations. This is the stuff where it's hard to find good information. This is the stuff I´m sure these guys know pretty well. And this is the stuff they won´t tell or show us, because it probably would mean a lot of trouble for them.

Casmo, Mover, and Gonky have trained more than most DCS virtual pilots will ever endure. It would be a great time to see all of them have a teaching video, of their respective aircraft, once a week…DCS virtual pilots have so much to learn and these guys know the aircraft inside and out! Good vid Casmo and Mover!

We do tac turns all the time in BMS it is standard. This is a lesson we have in BMS for new comers it is an essential maneuver to understand. Great video. Waiting for a BMS introduction.

If you need ground speed for taxing, just press List->6(TIME) on the ICP. F-16 its a badass plane !

The F-16 is always a blast to fly. I don't know that I ever got nearly as "good" as I was with the Hornet, but it was always fun. I really need to get back into the jets, but the damn Helicopter world just keeps pulling me back in...and the Kiowa doesn't look like it's going to make that better. Also, interestingly, looks like the airfield runway is 556.8ft according to some random chart I pulled.

Also, You talked about the throttle, It took me some time to get to grips with the quick response of power. I try to scan speed more often. But she is a race horse on steroids until she is heavy. Learn F-16 and all other jets in dcs will feel sluggish. :). The system management is quite different but once learned, a joy to work with. 80% is on the hotas for combat. Short legs and in heavy a-g loadout very different. Needs roll trim after drop and my bad habit is heads on the mfd after drop. I check hud and is 60 degrees left and 30 down :). The aircraft attitude indicator in tgp should be coming. Mover is the right guy to move you along on this beast :)

I looked up the approach plate for anderson 06L, it sez the elevation is 617. I was always ambivalent on the falcon till DCS released it, since then ive really enjoyed it. oddly, DCS had the exact opposite effect on me regarding the hornet, lol

Maybe this will help me learn to actually like the F-16. There's just so much about it I don't like, but mostly the flight dynamics in the game. Namely it keeps rolling/pitching after you return the stick to neutral.

While i still prefer the Hornet .. every time i get into the Viper on DCS i allways get the impression that it gets things done easier and more straight forward than the Hornet somehow...

That would be that other Viper sim ;) and Mover isn't flying it because he doesn't read manuals and hates doing cold start from the ramp ;p

Take Off and Landing Data. Basically a sheet you fill out with all the relevant details for the aircraft/field/weather/etc. Makes sure that you know important stuff like take off distance, rotation speed, etc for your given runway, aircraft and weather conditions.
