The heat where I live gets intense during June and July now. I too have heat exhaustion, where I have to sleep a lot more. But it will pass as fall comes on. In terms of acupuncture, the spleen meridian has the function of absorbing energy from the sun. But when the heat gets too intense, the spleen meridian gets weakened. That is where the aches and sleepiness come in. The best balance for that is relaxed deep breathing where you oxygenate the blood. This type of breathing supports the other 3 meridian that balance the spleen. Those 3 meridians are lung (breath), liver (blood) and pericardium (homeostasis). The breathing is like soft waves passing, with a gentle and complete rise and fall of the diaphragm.
