Rookie mistake ! that button even should be on the "actionPerformed" trigger, not the onClick trigger.
onclick works, but if you ever set up the button to be disabled or something similar, the event will still trigger if the user happens to click on it.

hi I have compact logix studio 5000 plc , customer is using ignition. I check your video ignition can directly read the plc as long the setup opc built in for ignition. So my side not need do any software or programming ? Just connect and browse the plc tag through my plc Boolean or any tag right ?

Very helpful video. Question: It appears that Perspective templates no longer populate in version 8.0.16. Do you know how to find and apply templates after the project creation?

Hrm I'm not sure what you mean by perspective templates. If you're referring to pre-built project templates, they are there in the drop down when you create a NEW project from the designer launcher. also, 8.1 has an option during a fresh install to start you with a starter project thats full of good examples on how to do certain things, definitely worth checking out.

@@scadatorch2211 @6:39 where you pull down the project template menu, and there are several perspective templates. My version of Maker edition does not populate these prebuilt started applications. That is what I am trying to get to the bottom of. Thanks for your response earlier.

@@dentonhess5810 oh that is very unusual. I would def recommend reinstalling or upgrading to 8.1. If for some reason they still aren't there you could just install the non maker version somewhere else and export the project after you've created it. As far as I know there's nothing stopping you from importing or exporting project resources between install types. If you install 8.1 and it's still not there, I would consider raising the issue on the forum as well.

Hey sorry about that. It wasn't meant to be a very strict tutorial, but more of a proof of concept on how to quickly get from typing some simple code to a functional web app. Next time I'll be sure to turn on mouse click highlights though! If you have any specific questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer.
