shorter poles, hands in front, keep pressure boot to shin contact, think pre-absorbing it's more active, extending on the down hill side , looking 3 moguls ahead, shoulders pointing down hill, hips centered over the sweet spot on your skis. easy peasy, quit your day job in the city move to mountains and ski 100 or more day a year for at least 5 years. but don't move to lake tahoe there are already to many people.
Ive been struggling with moguls 4ever... I keep blaming my skies ofc. I am a big well build guy and my shortest and the most narrow skies are 188/88. Might have to invest into proper carving skies and get out of intermediate moguls
The skier in the film has much too long ski poles and wrong baskets on the poles. He should cut the length with approx. 15 cm and change to cone baskets. As you can see he gets stuck with the poles on the top thus leaving his arm open behind him thus reducing his vertical speed and impairing his balance. He might also feel some pain in his shoulders and arms after one day of mogul practice.
geez you are a hypocrite.... complete douche. you really want to plant a pole in a bump at high speeds and turn around it? learn to ski scrub. i bet you dont even have your torso positioned correctly and can't keep your ski parallel if your life dependet on it
You ski them correctly and then teach it wrong. You are teaching people to create ICE on the downhill side of the bump. Go watch Tito do it. THAT, is mogul skiing and teaching.
