You could make the floor into a checkerboard pattern Made out of cobbled deepslate and either basalt or any other block you habe spare

yeah. the creepers already have. but it works to keep other things out, and I just kill the creepers before they get to my door. interesting ideas, anyway. also, what did you mean by get another?
