The least common multiple (aka the lowest common multiplier LCM) is easy to work out - just use this simple method. Is this the fastest way? Like many things in math that depends on the problem being solved!

If we have three number and if the two small numbers divide the big number without any remainder then the big number is the lcm

The downside is that factoring big numbers is really slow, and the Euclidean algorithm (this method of factoring) is really fast (at least relatively)

Hello there, tecmath, I have a trick to how to get the LCM super fast: Example: 3 4 You wanna do 3 x 4 OK? The answer is 12. Hope you add this method.

Samantha Sabales but like 8 and 4, 8*4 =32 but LCM is 16. Doesn't work for all numbers

This method only works for certain numbers like for example 3 and 4 (like given) 5 and 3 But for other numbers like 6 and 9 (LCM=18) Or 6 and 12(LCM being 24) It doesn't work.
