Leather and Pearl Bracelet Traditional Method Using Two Needles 

Hi Emma, I love it when you say “We”. I feel like we’re just hanging out together and beading. Don’t listen to those other people. 😻I love how this bracelet turned out. So nice. Thank you Emma and Shelly. 💝I’m so glad you only put one half hitch knot in and then weave in the bead. So many put too many knots in their work instead of weaving through it to secure it. You always end up with unsightly knots or blocked beads so you can weave in thread afterwards. When I was taught 40 years ago they didn’t allow any knots except for one half hitch knot only and weave the threads in at least two directions and then do a half hitch knot again and weave again, three times. Our teacher would throw our work in the garbage if she saw a knot. 🤷‍♀️😹😹😹 I don’t request bc I love everything you’ve done so far. For your ends I’ve seen some glue end caps for memory wire on the end of leather. It’s looks great and nicely finished. Thanks so much for this great tutorial say hi to Jenn. Hey Queen Emma. It's been ages since we communicated. I'm glad to see you continue making videos. Ok - just kidding. I haven't utilized any of the leather I ordered from Xsotica. Once I regain strength in my hand and arm I hope I am able to dig through bins and boxes and locate my box of leather. This technique would be fun and I recently received some lovely buttons. I do appreciate your tutorials, unboxings and kindness. I never knew royalty could be so wonderful!

Hi hun. Yeah you got it!!! I think this method looks cleaner along the sides and can be done with tile beads too. Still loving those pearl beads, there is a shimmer to them. The grey ones are my absolute faves. Good luck Jen and her toe the poor love. Tickles to Jax and a hug for you x x x

Looks fantastic! Eventually I will try leather but the beads keep calling in the meantime. One of the tricks I learned when doing a two needle technique is if the hole is big enough put the bead on to the first needle and put the second needle through while it’s on the first needle then pull both needles through - this way you won’t puncture the thread. What a brilliant project, Emma!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS NEEDED FOR MY WINTER WARDROBE!!! I have a few rolls of 2mm round leather cord in my stash that I've never even used, including Dark Brown, Black, Navy, Scarlet, and a Deep Ivory) ... and I've found some gorgeous octagonal gold buttons with large shanks that I rescued from an old jacket. i do have Preciosa Pearls, but I think I'll use some Natural 6mm Tiger Eye beads on Dk Brown leather, and alternate them with the 6mm Gold-Filled beads that I just received ... That will look fab with a Tiger-Eye bracelet with gold-filled findings that I've just completed to wear with my new boho full-length cable-knit cardigan in Dark Caramel that just arrived! I just received my entire winter wardrobe, just in time for the cooler weather (I'm Sthn Hemisphere), so I'm going to have a lot of fun making a few of these in winter colours to go with my new wardrobe ... and then I'm going to design some interesting long necklaces using the same bead selection as I use in the bracelets, but in larger size beads so they will stand out over the large-knit sweaters I've bought etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS PROJECT!!
