People don't realize how much time and effort is involved in a personal one of a kind project. I've given so much away and people don't take care of it. It hurts even if I'm not as good as you are.
I agree, over the years I have seen the appreciation of hand craftmanship fade. I'm afraid we have brought this on ourselves by supporting mass made Chinese products that are made with inferior materials by slave labor with no concern for the environment. It's a shame, but it appears the world is broken.
You'll be much happier in your gifting of you adopt the attitude that it's no longer your business what happens to the item. Truly let go of it. But you are totally correct that people have no idea you can have 5 or 10 hours in even a small item. It's the Walmart mindset. Everything pukes out of some Chinese factory, 10,000 a day and ought to cost a dollar each.
Do you use the same size cabichone ? Have you tried multiple stones at once like on a bracelet ? When cutting the edge have you used your finger knife to start ? New subscriber and leather crafter and wondering what kind of market to sell them that you use ?
I use various size stones as I cut my own. Haven't tried multiple stones. I'd cut leather with any knife I had access to. I mostly sell on etsy. Hope this answers your questions, sorry it took so long to reply, haven't been getting notifications from youtube.
Just found your channel. I've seen several channels with similar subject matter on YT but yours is by far the best! I especially appreciate how detailed your instructions are and most especially how you call out the exact stamp tool numbers being used. Keep the awesome content coming, sir! Liked, definitely subscribed, and I look forward to your next video! Thank you greatly!
Hmm, I was able to print it just fine, the problem is on your end. You might try downloading it and opening with a pdf reader such as Adobe Acrobat or any other pdf reader. Hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing this! I enjoy jewelry making and leather crafting. This is perfect! 🙂 I love it when I can combine crafts to make something truly unique. Beautiful job!
Sorry it's taken so long for a reply, youtube has quit sending me notifications on comments. As far as where to get stones online, that a good question, I've bought from Fire Mountain Gems, I haven't had any problems with them, but I've seen bad reviews. Rio Grande jewelry supply is good but expensive. Before I started cutting my own stones, I was buying from several several stone cutters on instagram. dillionhartman, jeremysmithturquoise, blackbirdcabs. These are great cutters, but cut to get the most from the stone and their cabs are not calibrated, so you would have to make your own templates to use their stones. There are a lot of others on instagram. I've even bought from China and India, and while I never had any problems other than long delivery times, be aware there are scammers selling fake stones. so be careful!
