A while back I made a knife from a file. In this video I make a leather knife sheath to put the file knife in. Filmed on the iphone 10 with the iphone camera stand. Logo design by Brandon Kettle. Video music is "Sky Skating" and "Fine Line", both by Geographer.

Andy, another great video! I have said it before, and I will repeat it. You have a knack for the art and practice of teaching. You made this project look easy and doable for most anyone. I look forward to your projects.

Thank you so much Dr. Volker. Coming from a master teacher such as yourself, that is a huge compliment.

Can you tell me where to buy leather working tools? Trying to purchase for my son... I have no clue what to get.. brand, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

First of all, thanks for the view and comment! All of my tools came from Tandy Leather. They have multiple stores located around the country, and they sell online too. Web site is www.tandyleather.com . The site has a store locator. If you have a craft store near you such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby, they usually have a few tools, but not a very big supply. Of course, Amazon has just about anything in the world too. I would start off with a couple of punches for stitching, a pack of needles for sewing, an edge trimmer/beveler, and a rotary cutter (looks like a pizza cutter). As far as brands, I don't have any suggestions. I just bought the brand my local Tandy has in stock. I would think for the average person starting out in leather working, most any brand would do. As he gets more into it, he could invest in "better" tools. Once he does it a while, he can tailor his tools to his needs and interests. I hope this helps. Thanks again!
