I’m still sad that Splash Mountain’s theme is changing. I grew up with it and didn’t know over the years that it was based on a banned movie. I won’t be able to ride it one last time, but I at least had so many memories with it. What’s scary about this story is the fact that the character: Remus, the same name as the one from the actual film: Uncle Remus

This reminded me of the time I went to Disneyland with my mom, and before we left we went on splash mountain since it was one of my favorite rides when I was younger. Long story short we got put in the front two rows, my mom took the very front seat and I took the one behind her. I got soaked and had to buy new pants. Yeah but if they do that then maybe Remus would totally like come back as a ghost mostly just haunt people even the ones that didn’t leave a light on for him plus that’s why we gotta show them how to have fun like not just on splash Mountain but like other rides to that’s why people need to do overnight challenges there so we could see what else happens like at three because that’s what everybody else says that stuff happens all the time at three in the morning and maybe the ghost would like to have fun with us yeah and then we would have fun and try to do our best to help them feel better

I went to Disney World a few years ago and rode this ride before they remodeled it. It was so much fun! I also downloaded a bootleg of the movie. I can see why it's controversial. But I enjoyed the film nontheless.
