Vincent Price was an absolute ICON. You always saw he was having a blast in whatever he was in. And William Castle made some amazing B-movie horror that will go down in history.

About ten years ago I went to a RiffTrax Live event at a local theater where they riffed on this all the way through, especially going after Watson Pritchard with "Ye're after me Lucky Charms!" or something like that every time he appeared. Anyway thank you for making me laugh just as hard all over again, and for "my Brother In Crisis" which I'm going to use.

Oh my god, the 'Grandma Aggie' scene where she scoots out of there like a taxidermy animal on a wheelie cart (think the polar bear in Mr. Burns' office) is my favorite part of this movie. Also how the frak did nobody notice her in there? Also also, favorite Vincent Price cameo: I'm going to say the rap break in Thriller. Professor Rattigan in Great Mouse Detective is a close second, but it is more of a starring role. Edit: I just got to the part when you questioned if she was on a skateboard to go out. I think in the Rifftones song (Party at the) House On Haunted Hill, they say she gets around on rollerblades. You should see her try to mow the lawn...

I love a good classic horror movie. Aside from the things you mentioned ( like the Thriller monologue) a really good and underrated performance is Ratigan from The Great Mouse Detective.

There were plenty of movies from the 1930s and '40s about groups of people staying at an isolated house/mansion/other location. It usually involved a will, murder mystery, or both. But this is the first film I can recall with a "You get payed X if you stay all night" trope.

Yeah, This is one of the best spooky films for Halloween and one of the best Vincent Price Movies. William Castle's classic horror movies are the most fun. Even with the cool theater gimmicks he did for these films. "13 Ghosts" is another great classic William Castle made and it stars Margret Hamilton (Witch of the west herself). In which I recommend you also check out sometime. It's fun and spooky! ;)

I'd like to give a shoutout to Schlock Studios for making the criminally underrated YTP "Hill on Haunted House" It's really short but never fails to make me laugh, there's a tennis match with a gun and "So he filled a vat with acid... threw her ass in." Like, that YTP is the sole reason I even learned about this film

my favorite random Vincent Price moments are his cameo at the end of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and that wine cooler commercial from the 80s where he did the entire commercial in a polar bear costume(!)

Nora deserved better. Vincent Price is always a blast. Fave cameo is probably Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein random Invisible Man.

I first heard Vincent Price in Thriller, but he was just a voice and I didn't know who he was. I actually learned of, and loved, him in 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo!

Best horror film

"Murderess" is an old-fashioned word for a female murderer. Now, everyone is just called a "Murderer", regardless.

You'll never understand how much I needed a moment of levity right now and this provided it, thank you very much. My favorite Vincent Price cameo is actually when I first remember seeing him, and that was in Edward Scissorhands. How weak was that woman that she got shoved by a skeleton controled by strings? 😂

If you like that- you might also enjoy A Very Brady Christmas. A TV special/sequel to the Brady Bunch 60’s tv show, except it’s Christmas- everyone’s in their 30’s and they have all these marriage problems. It’s a whacky little special (about 45 minutes), which would go down easily with John Denver’s The Christmas Gift, costarring Jane Kaczemarek and Mary Wickes.
