The scariest thing about the movie is it does a great job showing how we much need power, the internet, cellphone towers, and GPS.

Yeah this is something that can most definitely happen in real life and I don’t think we’re to far from it..

This should tell everyone to get ready. Hollywood always tells us their plans.

The movie is horrible. Makes no sense. So, technology fails, and the world falls apart in a couple of days? Might I remind whoever wrote this that there are some of us still alive when there were no cell phones, No GPS (I went to flight school in the 80s and the best we had were VOR stations). No G1000 displays, all steam gauges. Low end planes still do not have auto pilots. Cars had no fancy electronics; distributor cap no on-board computers. My Suzuki Samurai didn't come with a radio. I had to install one after market. I remember using something called a map and compass for land navigation in the military and my wife always had the map and was the navigator on our vacation trips. TV was analog with rabbit ears, no cable and we had NBC, CBS, ABC, WOR, WPIX and PBS (NYC). AM/FM analog radio of the air. No VHS, DVD. Everything was hard wired, no digital switching and nothing was connected to one another. TVs were Black and white and worked on tubes. Then U turned them on they took a little while to heat up and come on. In college I used a manual typewriter to do my papers. No word processors. Research was done by going to the library and checking out a thing called a book. My point is we lived in the 60s and 70s without the technology we have today and still went about our daily lives. It is so stupid to think that in a few decades we have become so dependent on technology that if it failed the world would instantly fall apart. FYI, even on newer fancy airplanes with all the G1000 modern glass cockpits, U still have old traditional steam gauges as backup in a emergency. If my autopilot started to misbehave, I would simply pull the mechanical circuit breaker and shutdown the autopilot or any other computer system that acted up. If U want to see a perfect movie on what happens on an aircraft when the world goes to crap, I highly recommend Apollo 13 with Tom Hanks. A 100% better movie and a true story. Kevin Bacon is in that one also. Don't waste ur time with Leave the World Behind. A waste of some very talented actors. I am a fan of all of them. The only reason I tuned in.

No way a ship that large gets anywhere near the beach. It would have run aground way offshore.

For anyone who’s already watched it and now been left there scratching your head (as I was doing for a while): remember how Rosie felt about her favourite series the whole time. This movie did that to us and I think it’s hilarious.

I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars for a lot of suspense that went nowhere and an unsatisfying soft ending. Too much dialogue and not enough display of what was actually happening in the world around them.

It was boring and i lost interest . Went back to watching Little House on the Prairie.

This movie actually made me want to become a prepper. Too close to the present reality I think. Most films are dystopian futures that seem far away from us but now I want to stock up on stuff and learn how to do things like a boy scout

I’m one hour and thirty minutes in the movie and still have no clue what’s going on here. Oil ship stuck on a beach, black guy with daughter comes to house, little girl obsessed with friends, plains going down, Tesla hit each others, Arabic papers propaganda, flamingos in the pool, deer in wood like wtf. And characters are talking about everything but what’s going on.

This movie is a reflection of how dysfunctional we actually are. We have been brainwashed into a zombie where all we think about is the financial status, entertainment and just existing whilst making the capitalists literally God’s on Earth. I asked my friends to watch this movie, and I was so shocked they don’t get the ending of this movie. Can’t u see? That dumb girl chose to watch her favourite TV show totally ignoring her mother who’s looking for her. Mind you she knew something is wrong but she can’t rationalise anything. She didn’t even think of showing her mother that the house has food, water and a totally safe place to seek shelter which was the main concern during this event. She is so young yet she’s so addicted to the TV show. 80s and 90s born literally grew up watching this show. They’re trying to tell u that’s exactly what they were doing to us back then. Dumb -> Dumber -> Dumbest. This is not the future. This is already happening.

Movie that embraces RACISM! Nope! Canceled Netflix!

This movie was awful for so many reasons. Whoever wrote the script either does not have kids or has one they don't like, the entire cast except for George were just unbearable to watch. Everyone was a narcissist, nobody liked each other or treated each other with an ounce of respect and the actions of the characters were beyond unbelievable. So the world is ending and chaos is all around you, not one parent wondered where their kids were or what they were doing. Oh yeah, George's daughter was out getting high with some old man she just met while dad was ready to hit the sheets with a woman he just met (and dances like Elaine form Seinfeld), all while his wife is missing and presumed dead in a plane crash or trapped in another city, but who cares when you're having fun. In a real world scenario, every single character in this movie (except for Kevin Bacon) would be dead within 60 days.

Leave the World Behind, will be the first fictional movie from Barack and Michelle Obama’s. What the hell is that? They know something like this is going to happen..

It was not the worst ever but the portrayals of miserable families with miserable cursing kids and of course the racism… gotta have the racism… made me glad that it was over. If it had only been about the main subject matter without all the sad projections it would have MUCH better.

I’m surprised Julia Roberts agreed to this movie. Just horrible. Only action is the son pulling his teeth out.

About 120 minutes too long, could have made an interesting 10 minute short film but I've seen many better indictments on the nature of humanity in an episode of the walking dead, and I don't particularly love that show either. No questions answered in the, nor will they ever be. The filmmaker thinks this is clever but is really a middle finger to the audience.

This was nothing but a fake try hard conspiracy movie. I can’t believe people are actually trying to connect dots with this one.

The reason that this is so scary is the psychological aspects of this. It makes you think “what if this happened to the world” and such and it makes you feel that from the realism. Countries or hackers hacking something isn’t that far from reality as we have seen it before. Overtime, we get to know the characters and sympathize with them and when something happens to them we feel things. A perfect example is Archie getting sick. We feel shock and worry for him just like the characters. It’s especially terrifying if you’ve encountered disease or injury related horror. If you’ve ever heard about radiation poisoning/sickness it’s even more terrifying when you know he will not get better with the medicine and throughout all of this, war is taking place in the city. Now, let’s talk about the “bad” ending. Rose puts on a cd of friends which symbolizes the extent some people will go to be on their television. It’s not unrealistic either knowing that she’s a child and she doesn’t know control. It’s even more realistic when we had a craze for something growing up. It ending so abruptly is intentional, of course but it adds to the horror. I watched this movie a few days ago and the tension is still in the air.

Maybe we wuz the racism we hated along the way...😢

Leave the World Behind was made with the input of some of the most powerful people in the world and it shows. It is not entertainment, it is indoctrination. It is predictive programming where a script is presented to the public so it can more easily be accepted when the time comes. On a deeper level, the movie is a way of releasing the elite of its “karmic duties” as they believe that they need to warn the public of their evil deeds before they happen.
