since i am a woman i know the pain of being viewed as if my brother can do more than me. i would forgive him but two choices await me.. to leave my job and inherit the company or continue with my job because managing two companies that are away from each other is hard........... but still for me family comes first. that is why parents should treat their children the same as for me my parents treat us equally

I am the eldest child and a daughter of a family. I have one younger sister and two younger brothers. My father always said that he was working for his sons. He had a a factory, but lost it, as we were thrown out of that country. We were all very young. My parents worked very hard so we can all have a better standard of living in our new country. My father started a business. My sister and I helped in the business. I realized he needed more cash. I went to work in another large city. I paid my rent, food, transport to work (walked or biked to work), saved and gave whatever money I can for the business. We all got presents, my sister and I more because my mother did the shopping for clothes and jewelery. I worked hard and became independent and bought my property by working in 3 jobs, a bank, a pub and bookies. I grew up not having any expectations from anyone, not even from my husband. My mother, before passing, wanted one of the properties to go to my sister. So my dad gave the cheapest property to my sister. Others he made out half share for my brother's. My mum passed away. My dad wished to see me for coffee, either he comes to my area or I go to his location. I was surprised because he liked our location, as we are surrounded by river and many parks and often comes for lunch or dinner. He likes my husband, though my parents refused to accept him, when I was going out with him and eventually married him. My husband has helped in many ways to rescue him in his various ventures. I saw him for coffee and he gave me a cheque. I refused but he forced me to have it. My husband would not allow me to bank it. But after a month he kept phoning me everyday, said that my mum wanted him to give me something, as their child. I told all my sister and eventually my brothers. My younger brother felt it should be divided equally and he was not happy about getting all properties with share with my older brother. He wished to have separate property. So my dad gave him another least valued property. My dad passed away last year and left all his other properties to my older brother. I did want my older brother to get the house they were living in, as I did not wish him to be left out of the house. He was never able to earn very much money to buy his own home. Anyway, he received all the properties. Cash for grandchildren and great grandchildren. However, my brother, now says there is not sufficient cash to be paid to them, when I offered to help to execute the will, as he was not doing anything. I said as the grandchildren and great grandchildren were named first, they should get the cash, it is not a lot, compared to the value of the properties. He can sell one of the properties and execute the will. He does not wish to talk about it. He is not married and has no children. He does not wish to give anything to anyone, but charity like I wish to do with my money. I do not have children, so I do not have personal interest. But my sister has children and grand kids and my younger brother has a daughter, so all of them have been named in the will. My dad added the grandkids and great grandkids as I advised him. The day he did it in December 2022, he told me about it. He passed away 2 months later. Such a shame my father's son, who got everything is considered by all as a stingy man, as he has never had much money to spend.
