Always love this song. I love the "Get to France" phrase in this version. It is somewhat unexpected when you're used to the original and that makes it just wonderful.

@jpisidive Well, i agree. And furthermore, i think it´s virtually impossible to get the same result with different voices and bands. By the way, it would be an awful bore if this song here would sound very similar to the original. I like the special and unique sound of every band.

There's no doubt that BG's cover is what inspired them to take this song on, so I think making comparisons is totally justified. It's an incredible song so I understand why they picked it, but I'm a bit disappointed with the result. Liv's vocals feel weird and cold and I don't feel like they've brought anything new or fresh or interesting to the song on whole. People would be better served just listening to the original. I wish that they had looked at some of Mike Oldfield's other work.

gotta agree, Blind Guardians version is better than this one, but it ain't that bad as well. I would've picked another song to make a videoclip, i really like Krakevisa, Spirit Masquerade, Meredead or Etain which are in my opinion the best songs from this album.

Well, she has a beautiful voice, but I must say I really missed some power and emotions in this version. I like the original most, then Blind Guardian's Cover is way better than this.

This song is beautiful, one of my favorites on the album. I actually didn't like it on first listen, but it grew on me :). Meredead is amazing, definitely their best yet. I've always been interested in Leaves' Eyes, but their latest made me a fan.

it's too Symphonic, i love liv and her work, but this album has the same problem than the previous one ( njord ), and also the same problem with her last album as a soloist. and is that all the songs in the albums sounds like the same. Im sorry but i dont think people would pay for going to concerts of such music, you should put more energy and power in yours song, making every song special and unique, thats what people will like. but anyway, i still love you liv :D

I love the old songs of them, but this is bad pop. The guitar sound like a bad virtual amateur amp

hmm i dunno. for me, this song seems a little weak on the singing front. no doubt its beautiful and she can hit every note, but it seems a little limp wristed compared with the metal backing. everything else is great, as always with Leaves' eyes.

But seriously, this is one of least interesting tracks on the CD. LE has always been plagued by choosing the most commercially available (most boring) song for their videos. In truth it should of been just left of the album.

Surprisingly, I'm not really a fan of this version. Blind Guardian's does metal better, and Mike Oldfield's does the soft female-vocals thing better. I'm rather disappointed.

I kind of like it, but I don't know The vocals are a bit weak, and the guitars are a bit odd, don't know the word for it...faded? I think it's far too similar to the original as well

Listening to this at 720 and it sounds a bit muted.. not Vibrant. The drums aren't deep and rich. The vocals are low. Maybe it's on purpose?

Wow... it's a feat to ruin such an excellent song, and yet Leaves Eyes managed to do it without any effort.

Why are the guitars so distorted and fuzzed out? It ruins the beautiful song... Sometimes less is more...

I love mike olfield and the version proposed here is a little more nag in terms of guitars but we feel that there is a lack of material in the softer music but it remains a great experience despite everything
