My dad was on the truth Or Consequences way back then and won a teardrop trailer!! I still have the letters and pictures (black and white) from T or C with the trailer and one with the host. Crystal hot springs in Honeyville Utah is open all year. Yes, northern Utah winter, outdoor swimming. The sad part is, it is crowded. It`s also an RV park.

I haven’t been in our hot tub since last year first due to surgery and healing and then because I was afraid to fall asleep in the tub alone. BUT! I think I’ll go in tonight. My son and his family share it so they can check on me. Thanks for the inspiration!🦌💌❤️🙏👍🚙

I use to have the best dog! He was a combination of Shepherd and wolf. He was huge! And a real sweetheart unless you smelled of alcohol and came too close to me. He took a drunk down by the throat after I warned him to stay in his car. He held him until my father came. That guy never drove past our house ever again 🤣

I'd ask Nomadic Fanatic about fixing the shower. He just bought another RV similar to yours. Wait another week before driving up North near Taos. Wildfire smoke was out of control today and the scary winds are still really blowing. Taos, Questa, Angel Fire and Red River - do the Enchanted Circle drive!

Omgosh! That hot springs looked amazing!!! The javalina was cool! We were staying in a casino in Tucson a few years back. The RV door was open with the screen door closed, it was dark out and our old dog was laying in front of the door looking out. She started barking like crazy and we looked out to see what she was all worried about. There was a flood ditch (not the right name, but my mind has gone blank! lol) just outside the RV that ran through the parking lot. In the ditch was a whole family of javalinas! It was such a cool thing to see. They were all traveling through this ditch to where ever and my son and I followed them and took some photos.We felt safe up in the parking lot. There were all sizes of them! My son still talks about it!

So part of the casino was built over it like a bridge. I always assumed it was for floods, like a wash in the desert. But, I could be wrong. (It happens occasionally. lol!)

I also like Charles motels hot spring baths only $9 per hour and very therapeutic. They are an old motel with indoor tubs.

Carolyn, that private soak and float inspired me to update my bucket list! Also, check out RU-vid physical therapists’ Bob and Brad for the shoulder pain called “impingement.” It’s a pretty quick fix. Mine hurt for 6 months and their recommended exercises put it right in a day. Thanks again for taking us along today!

I used to go to Riverbend Hot Springs weekly. I’d go to the restaurant that was New Mexican and Asian fusion. Can’t remember the name. But I loved Riverbend. I’d soak, sin clothing. One time some tubers came floating by and caught me! 😮

We went to Riverbend hot springs before COVID and you could use the showers on site, they still using the COVID rules. We love soaking and looking at the River, so very relaxing.

I just booked the Apache private pool for my birthday in October!! Going to the hot air balloon festival and White Sands NP and Riverbend!! I didn't know about the hot springs so thank you so much for sharing on your channel!!

You should check out Caprock Canyons State Park in the Texas Panhandle. The wild buffalo just walk thru your campsites sometimes. They are everywhere. I adored this place.

My family was camping near Elephant Butte way back in the 70s when I saw my first example of people living on the road. An older couple pulled up with a pickup/trailer rig. Arkansas plates, which interested me because my family's originally from Arkansas. The first thing they did was pull out a roll of wire fencing, set up a small "corral", and put their chickens in it. They liked fresh eggs, so they camped with chickens. About eight years later when I was grown up and stationed at Twentynine Palms, I passed the same couple/truck/trailer while I was driving around near the base. These OG boondockers were still out in the arid west, living life on their fresh-egg terms. I wonder how much a live chicken costs...

You can also buy a tube of Silicon Sealer....it's not glue and you can put it on the threads and tighten them.......and it will seal all kinds of things and the parts can be taken apart with ease.......SILICONE SEALER

Carolyn I love the video of Elephant Butte & T or C New Mexico. you stated it used to be called Hoy Springs WELL that is where i was Born April 9th 1947 LOOOOONG time ago. When you drove down thru town & went to riverbend Hot Springs wow My Grandmother used to live on Persing Street in town Had a little tourist camp with four rooms & they stayed full now this was back in the 50`s I haven`t been back for several years & when i seen the title i had to watch course i keep up with you along the way. We have three big dogs in our Rv and go to dog parks throughout the country Just let the other dogs come in and they will work it out It’s normal for things to get exciting when a new dog shows up on the other side of the fence People should NEVER enter the park with their dog on a leash Love your channel By the way.

The thorns are from Sandbar grass, Centurious insertus is it's scientific name, and you can thank European settlers for bringing those beauties in! I used to live in T or C for a hot minute back when you could boondock right by the river in town...miss those days.

One of the things I like about watching your channel is that you'll never talk about hurting or some unfirtunatecparticipation in a living creature getting hurt. I sometimes forget that not everyone is vegan or vegetarian or treasure the feelings of other sentient beings big or small.

Hmmm.....no hardware stores in Truth or Consequences to get the necessary shower parts? Just about every town in America has some type of hardware store. And smaller towns/cities usually have nice folks who are glad to help their customer. Give them a try! Sun valley hardware? Tractor supply? Maybe even a plumbing supplier, or kitchen design center, can guide you through the retrofit.

I use needle nose to pull the thorns that break off the goat heads out of my shoes. If you look you will see a bunch of them.

Have you been to the bottomless lakes? We have been there and also the places in New Mexico that you’ve shown. We also went on a small road trip from there and found waterfalls in New Mexico. So cool. People got in the water and swam around. Just weird that there was a waterfall in the desert.

Yeah. She seems to react around other dogs that are loud and aggressive acting.. except for my friend's dog who was just sitting there minding her own business. LOL thx for your observation

I spent Thanksgiving in T or C. Cousin and I soaked at Riverbend 4 out of 5 days. 2 people for $25 for 1 hour can’t be beat!! The 5 or 6 public pools are all different temps and you can move between them. My best soaks!
