I feel the same about the pandemic. We are still home. My daughter hasn't gone out, my husband goes to work, & I leave once a week for essentials. I'm watching cases exponentially rise in my area, private school reopened & an entire class had to quarantine because someone sent their sick kid, etc. I'm just trying to keep myself centered. I am no longer on FB because I couldn't take it. I put my phone away at a certain time each evening. It's a lot. But I have to value my health more than a need to go shop or whatnot. Luckily, my close friends are living the same way, so I have people to talk to about it.
I've been seeing a counselor for awhile, and just being able to vent and get constructive ways to handle my anxiety has been hugely helpful during the pandemic.
A couple months ago Nyma inspired me to make my own beauty channel and i couldn’t be more grateful! Sometimes I get on myself for not growing as fast as I hoped, but when i watch Nyma it reminds me to keep pushing!! Love you so much 🙏🏾💖
I feel ya. I finally found my dream job last year, everything got together, and then everything folded in June this year and we all lost our jobs. 🙄. This year is testing us hard!
I'm born and raised in Ohio. Husband and I moved to Texas a few years ago, and I LOVE IT. I couldn't imagine being in LA. I don't think my anxiety could handle it.

“Choosing to be home and being forced to be home are two different things” YES! I am content at home 95% of the time, but that 5% I choose to go out is just as important to my mental health.

KVD never interested me that much in the first place, so the rebrand is not making me any more interested than before. Also, her branding/packaging aesthetic is still there, so it still feels like her brand even though it's not.
I’m not going back to KVD yet. Mainly because I hate the lack of an actual rebrand. What they’ve done thus far is lame/lazy; it makes me think Kendo is looking for the cash grab, not building an interesting beauty company.
I’m def not defending them at all bc I also don’t support kvd but I remember reading that they were going to do a bigger rebrand but they didn’t want to waste the packaging they already had with the old name so they were using it all up then ordering new stuff

But I've been buying them again especially the brushes keep going on sale and honestly they're great They knew if they did that and threw out everything, no one would ever buy from them again... Esp when they claim to be vegan and ethical..

I decided to buy from kvd once she left because the lock it foundation literally had the perfect match for me! It's the only foundation for me that has that match! They're finally starting to rebrand the packaging and im honestly happy about it. The boycott worked so I'm happy to vote with my money and buy the products again as long as I'm interested in them!
The rebranding Of KVD isn’t working so far. As long as the name is “KVD” it will forever be associated to Kat Von D. And it really doesn’t help that a lot of subscriptions have put them in boxes around the same time the rebranding started and the products said Kat Von D. You can also find them in Marshall’s, Ross, TJ Maxx. They will do better to change the name.
they do, they are having huge sales with massive reductions (they never had that when kat von d was still the brand) since MONTHS to get rid of their stock. they should have addressed that early on, but a few weeks ago they did and they confirmed what many have been thinking - they just have/had too much leftover packaging and product with the old name on it. their sales must have dropped a ton when the anti vax drama happened so they probably had way too much produced. should they throw tons of makeup away? of course not, especially when they are branded as vegan now which implies a certain attention to environmental issues (as one would hope).

🤩🤩 What a beautiful eyeshadow look and the wig color is so stunning on you. I'm an introvert but yeah what you said is dead on. I would like the choice to go places. It's a lot. My youngest son is a senior and it's just so much with schooling etc. We chose to continue with him being home schooled but he's been home the entire time and it's definitely affecting us. I already suffer depression and anxiety, so I had to start back with therapy and antidepressants.

I am also a homebody but this is completely different. This has made me realize I’m not as much of an introvert as I thought. The beginning of the pandemic was awful mentally and then I feel like it got better as I settled it. Now, it’s back to horrible especially seeing so many people just outside doing whatever and knowing there is no end in sight

In January actually, lol just before the pandemic but I love it here. I moved from LA to TX. I miss Disneyland and Griffith Park but that’s about it. I definitely do not miss the heat!!!!! I love the look Nyma. I'm a very deep dark complexion and I just love the makeup that is FINALLY available for us deep dark chocolate women. I mainly use Fenty and Mented cosmetics, along with Morphe eye palettes. BTW, I'm a California girl that had to move to Alabama 9 years ago and I hate it here. I miss California, but I'm going to have to learn to deal with the South for now!

I have stumbled upon your channel just randomly watching videos on RU-vid. First I want to say you are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! You’re a intelligent, informative, Classy young lady. I do not wear make up. I was totally for bidden to do so growing up by my dad. When my daughter, now 24 was a little girl I purchased her all kinds of play make up and dress up for her. That eye look screams fall and I’m here for it. It obviously won’t look the same on me but I might try to get something similar to this because this is beautiful. I think using the brown helped give it that fall look because it toned down the red.

I TOTALLY feel you sis! I'm from Los Angeles myself and 5yrs ago I moved to Atlanta. I have been wanting to go back was almost from the moment I got here, but we all know la is just too damn expensive. My lease is up in April. I'll be 31on the 17th of August. even though I'm terrified of moving hopefully by April things won't be too bad because I'm packing up and moving to Vegas. California lifestyle but Georgia prices lol
