Casey at the end of the day NYC is your dream! It's your passion! You gain so much of your drive and energy from that city. LA is beautiful but it will never fill you with that childhood passion that NYC does. Plus what about Owen, Karlie, your brothers, countless friends and family.
+Haleigh Romero Well. if you've listened to what Candice said over the phone, you'd notice that they actually do plan on leaving NY and moving to LA within a year or two, which, I have to admit, made me pretty sad to think about, especially after seeing the My first true love vlog recently :(
Anne Soho I heard her say that.... again.... do you really think he would leave NYC? His son is there, his work is there, his company is there. Come on....
Yes, I really think so.He has briefly mentioned moving to LA a few months back in another vlog, and seeing today that they are still talking about it and even consulting a real estate agent makes me think they are quite serious about the idea. Owen is not there, he is starting college this year, and nobody said he would move the company, he would probably open another one on the West coast

+Callum Crowar really dude......check your self for the benefit of yourself and everyone you come into contact with. If you say offensive/abusive retorts to people you do not know. Something in you needs to stop take a look at why you do this. Are you projecting? Seriously dude please take care and clean up your mouth/mind/heart. I'm so shocked with you. MsNerdyChica didnt even respond with abuse. Bless you Ms
Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured. Mark Twain Okay bully boy....i'm here if you need a hug
Not sure what role your playing out here but it is abusive to people you dont know and Its extremely unjustified. Bro please listen to some Dolly Parton. (I'm joking) but at least breath and express your shit without throwing it in whatever place triggers you
The juxtaposition of Candice talking about moving to LA because it's getting to be "just too much", and Casey reiterating to "just do it" (move to NYC) is really interesting. I feel like this will be a new thread to keep tabs on throughout Casey's vlogs.
+David Hathaway I think his message is more of following your dreams than moving to nyc specifically. It was just what he did and his love for nyc that make it seem that way.
Love the "just do it! Just move!". We did the same thing. After many years living in Houston, we got tired of the heat, humidity and sprawl. So we moved to Denver, found a job and now are living it up living the hiking/camping lifestyle. We have been here for 3 years, and now are again thinking of something new. We aren't sure where we end up, but it doesn't matter. What matters is we all have control of our lives, and we can do whatever we decide to do. It won't be NYC, but who knows, maybe in a year I'll be watching your vlogs from a small mountain city in South America or maybe a few blocks from you in LA. Life is for living. You can regret when you're dead.
Since he's obsessed with the beach part of LA I would strongly suggest either Malibu, Palisades or Brentwood. Santa Monica and Venice have to many homeless wandering around to raise kids, also Culver City is fairly safe.
+Nicholas Anderson He always stays on Shutter On The Beach (5 star hotel in Santa Monica) when he´s in Santa Monica though. There are both seedy parts and ritzy parts of Santa Monica. Given that he lives in TriBeCa (very high end area of Manhattan) they will probably live somewhere fancy
i actually love the way your videos are structured. they have the youtube fast-pace sense in them that makes it more exciting verses other youtubers babbling on and on
How would this title reel a newcomer in exactly? And if you're a regular, surely the expectation of a certain level of quality reels you in? (would you have not watched, had the title been "Still living in New York"?)
Hi Casey, I just wanna let you know how nice is knowing NYC thanks to your Vlog. I'm in Bilbao for my Erasmus period, having my girlfriend over there in New York for a practice into the UN headquarter, and you make me feel i'm closer to her world. Keep going on that man, thanks! Simone, from Italy. From Spain, actually!
If you'd like to move to the West coast, but still want to enjoy the 4 seasons in a moderate climate, you should also consider Vancouver - super clean, beautiful city, and not far from some of the best skiing & snowboarding in the world :)
+Chris Prouse with the greatest respect, having lived in Canada for a couple of year myself and loved the place, but maybe he dosent want to move to another country.
+Chris Prouse What Bryan said, plus: What's gonna happen to their companies? In LA they can just open new offices and it's gonna grow their businesses even more. I don't see that happening in Vancouver, would make more sense with LA.
+Mark Kirkham Yeah, true, though if they're looking for a clean place to raise Francine, doesn't LA have some of the worst air pollution / child asthma in the U.S.? +Linus Sebastian I think bringing a successful business would help with Canadian immigration, and you can work from just about anywhere now if you're selling online :)
If you follow Casey, you should already know that he's always been more of a movie guy. These vlogs are just so he can be consistent since he was never consistent with his videos / movies before. I get that new fans are used to just pumped out vlogs but keep in mind that those mundane vloggers are on a lower bar than Casey. He won't follow your whining commands.
my favorite blogger might be moving to one of my favorite cities??? this is awesome!! I'll love to see LA vlogs from you, Casey. you help me remember to enjoy life in between bursts of creativity, and that even without formal education or the type of "plans" society forces on you you can be successful and happy. good shit. keep it up!!!
Oh my god... hes moving to LA, thats so surreal to me, i know, we dont know each other in real life but you have always been that special RU-vidr for me that reported from an amazing and astonishing life from NYC. Anyway good luck!
+simplysimple Ich bin schon in New York gewesen und darauf begründet meine Meinung: In Berlin gibt keiner einen schweiß drauf was du machst. Die Leute sind unhöflich. Und ich glaube mal die Bronx ist mal deutlich abgefuckter als beispielsweise Neuköln...
Casey your videos are awesome! I like them bc they are short and sweet and to the point. I think they're at a good length of time.. Some people's blogs are 20+ min and I can't deal with that. Thanks for sharing your day with us everyday and thanks for inspiring others like the guy that moved to New York! You have a gift and thanks for sharing it with the rest of us! Have a happy holiday and I'll see you on your vlogs! 😄👍
Mr. Pilli, I saw your work on a friend's Facebook page recently (he's actually my God-brother). And here you are! I dig your stuff. Very inspirational. Glad I found you on RU-vid now. I mainly post on Vimeo as I just got back into video recently. Would love to pick your brain for advice!
jamklaus acho que é mais centrado na minha vida/edição do que qualquer outra coisa. NY é um atrativo? Com certeza. Mas se eu me mudar pra outra cidade no mundo não acho que vou me prejudicar.
Everyday I come home from school, I look forward to watching your daily video. It doesn't matter if there a minute long or fifteen minutes long. I enjoy the type of videos you produce no matter the length.
Casey that sad look you mentioned leaving NYC was heartbreaking. It seems pretty clear that NYC will always be your true home. NYC isn't just a place, right? It's a state of mind.
Love the vlogs however long or short they are. I don't think some people appreciate the effort it takes to put out a video everyday. I think its amazing you do so much work to not only make yourself happy but to make people around the world happy. Thank you for all you do.
I very much enjoyed yesterday's blog Casey - perfect length for my attention span, was an interesting insight without too much.. random stuff that isn't that interesting. Keep doing your thing man.
I Love the way you make your videos! The videos where you talk about a thought you have or an idea are the best videos! Also the Santa video was great! Your videos are not like all other vlogs that's why I watch them! You are an inspiration!
One shoe on during his work out = sacrificing his shoe so he can lean his iPhone against it to get the shot. That is dedication to getting the shot!!! As always good work Casey. Only Vlog i can stand watching every day all the way through. Keep up the amazing work!
They want a change of scenery and probably like the idea of Francine not growing up in a massive grimy city like NYC. Sun, beaches and hot weather! And before anyone says LA is as bad as NYC, you don't know where in LA they're going to move to. It's a privilege to watch your life through these videos Casey!
ONE: Loved SantaCon Video TWO: I sometimes watch vlogs that are 18 minutes long and I have to skip parts bc they just go on and on. THEREFORE THREE: I love that you take the time and care to EDIT and tell a concise pithy story in your vlogs. I don't think enough people appreciate that what you CUT OUT can make your story so much stronger and more watchable. ONE: Love Candice.
90% of hypothetical LA Casey Vlogs... Him in his car. Bc that's how it is. Welp, it'll be interesting to see how many mounts he can come up with in his people mover I guess.
+Titoichi1986 Yeah, Gordon is right. LA doesn't really have an extensive infrastructure for bikes or skateboard like NY does. It's a very car-centric place if you want to get anywhere. :/
i dislike when people tell casey that his videos are too short im sorry but its not easy to vlog and edit and have it all done on time everyday he tries his best be happy with what he provides and enjoy no matter what the length if he feels its good enough then he uploads it just enjoy it people!
LA are you kidding I'm from LA and it's the worst. Traffic is worse, homeless people everywhere, dirty AF. Unless you guys are moving to the really really nice part of LA. STAY IN NYC
Hi Casey! my husband and I love watching your VLOG together. We hear you on the global warming issue as it's supposed to be summer here however I find myself wearing tracksuits every couple of days. super weird weather. ps we love your VLOG! really admire the effort you go to everyday.
I'm all for getting out of NYC but LA? Seriously? I prefer the woods or mountains, I'd rather not see my neighbors. I'd much rather deal with the 4 legged animals like I do now instead of the 2 legged ones. Much respect for you picking up and moving if that's what you really want, it takes a lot of money and planning. I'm sure you'll make a home no matter where you end up.
He can do whatever he wants. Not what you prefer. He grew up around buildings and people and you maybe grew around the country. Casey is not you. Casey is himself...
***** OH it though i was getting a hate comment. But the woods are a beautiful feeling to have in the morning.. I live behind a big woody jungle like area and it is really cold and damp in the morning..
Because most youtubers live in LA. people are tired of LA because so many people live there. The reason why Casey has so many views because he lives in New york, You dont really see any vloggers in New york.
+DogLove I agree so much because hes spent all this time in NY but then if he moves whats going to happen to his office? Whats going to happen to beme?
+Jorge S why do people answer the same question twice, this was answered already in the first reply. I see this all the time. Just curious how it happens, you read all the comments but none of the replies?
Portland and Seattle are both fantastic cities to raise a child! Just big enough where there are tons of possibilities, but not too big where it is overwhelming to raise a child.
how is LA any better over NYC for the kid? It's not, do it for some other reason like warmer weather, paying even more in taxes, massive commutes and no real transit, surrounded by more yuppies, yea LA makes sense then : )
Not sure if LA will be much better...but I think it might open up some more incredible filming opportunities of his daily life. Whatever the case, it will all work out---even if not in the desired way...change can be good...and moving back to NYC is always possible....excited to see the future unravel.
Shes an idiot. I love her "do what it takes" attitude of moving to NYC. Puhleassse. You come from money and your family put you up where you wanted to be. Seriously. Get real man.
I suggest Northern California! The bay area is gorgeous and little towns like Santa Cruz are perfect for families! Imagine skating down those SF hills... hahaha
The first video I ever watched of Caseys was the one "found lost GoPro". I was watching those kinds of videos when I stumbled upon that video. The second video I ever watched was the one he mentioned. The one where his kid and him go to a German water park. I was subbed ever since.
Thanks man for making awesome videos. You are a really interesting and talented person and I try to live my life like you because (not meant to be cheesy but) you live your life with no regrets and know there is only one direction and that is forward. Thanks for being a great role model, keep on rocking
Hey Casey my daughter has that same little vtech remote thing & absolutely loves it. its great & I highly recommend it. Also I recently started watching your vlogs after you stayed with the Atwood family & i love your vlogs
Casey this might seem exactly opposite of what you'd want to do, but Boston is the best city I know of to raise kids in. I grew up there, so I may be partial, but it really is just an amazing city. It has a suburban feel but still has a strong downtown area, and it has the best schools in the country (pre-k through 12) for Francine. It's much more mellow than NYC but that might be just what you want.
Casey i'm a native new yorker and I love California. You'll be fine. It's gonna be a change but you'll do good recording and documenting it and the beauty of Los Angeles.
