Today we're leaving Mexico and flying home to the USA for a coupe of weeks. We've been in Mexico heading south on the Pan American Highway for the last few months and today we're saying goodbye to our truck camper in Mexico City and hopping on a plane bound for Portland, Oregon. We'll be back on the Pan American Highway in two weeks but for now we're going to fill you in on why we're heading back to the USA, so let's go!

Hey y'all! We're Chris + Sara (or as you know us, Let’s Be Us), a husband and wife digital nomad travel duo currently working and traveling full time with our pup, Kramer. We've always dreamed of traveling full time, and in May of 2018 we took the leap and made it happen! Today we're balancing work and fun everywhere between the Pacific and Atlantic. From hiking and cycling to tacos and coffee, we're trying to see and experience as much of this world as we can! While our home is currently on wheels in our DIY Sprinter van, our travels take us all around the world.

I was in LA and hoping to see a Vlog about it at one point. I even asked why didn’t you consider southern California when looking for a home. I moved my families up to Seattle a couple years ago, and now knowing a Vlog is coming. I am so excited about that. Thanks for sharing. Some of the beautiful footage have affirmed my beliefs of the values of travel: creat lifelong memories. Cheers.

No A/C in your vehicle? I've been there and would always keep a igloo cooler with ice, wet wash cloths in zip lock bags, a water filled spray bottle and bottles of water in that cooler, it helps! Stay cool y'all

Ok, phew, finally got a chance to catch up on all your overlanding videos in MX! Whilst I have zero desire myself to ever go there- way too hot and humid (as seen by climbing all the steps in an earlier video- I still love to watch your videos for so many reasons: 1. You’re just nice/good people / similar values overall with care for people. 2. You play great music - always love it 3. You always talk about great good and especially coffee and desserts, which so hooks me 4. You’re real And I’ve noticed your video quality keeps getting more and more well refined! Your drone stuff is so “whoa” and those special shots - like the intro a few vids back where the season and episode is intersected by a bus driving by then a couple on a scooter etc are really clever and fun to see!👌👏 I’m not surprised one bit that Travelcon would want you to come and speak! So well deserved! (I’m glad I/we knew you before you become any more big shot world speakers! Heh.)WTG and in Portland, OR, no less! Looking forward to seeing the one in Seattle too! Glad you’ve been able to get to some cooler places before heading back to hotter climates.. like even TB as of late! Btw, have you ever filmed in Mains or been there? How about anywhere else in the Atlantic Northeast, as it were?

While others may hang around because of Kramer, I just enjoy you. A bonus is seeing places that I will never see. 🙂

How do you fly with Kramer? Is he small enough to fly in cabin? Is he a service dog? Would love to learn more.

Hearing you guys speak about being digital nomads was very inspiring for us. We are new to our travel journey and trying very hard to make it our full time gig. Thank you for that! I didn’t even know I needed to hear that today 😊

Hi, I am wondering if Kramer is an 'emotional support pet' and if so, can he travel in the cabin without being caged? Is there an 'online' agency you used to get him certified for this that you recommend? Thanks!

Take Trasportes Maritimo California ferry. Cheaper and you ride in your vehicle with your pet. It’s used mostly by truckers so the facilities aren’t glamorous. TMC offers hot showers meals and a lounge but no cabin. We rode the overnight ferry from Topolobampo to La Paz a little shorter than the 18 hour grind from Mazatlan .

@@conchscooter Thanks so much for your answer. But we are doing research for a possible bigger trip with our dogs (yes plural - lol!). In case we want to go to South America, wanted to look into air-travel with a dog in that neck of the woods.

Hey y'all, no, Kramer is not an ESA and from my understanding ESAs are now held to the same standards as pets (at least in the USA and most of the rest of the world now). There are services that handle the coordination of transporting pets overseas so if you're looking at transporting multiple I'd highly recommend using a professional service since it is a lot to handle logistically. I wrote a whole blog post about traveling internationally with dogs that answers a lot of questions. You can find it here: www.chrisandsara.com/post/how-to-travel-internationally-with-a-dog Hope this helps!! :)

@@chrisandsara I read your article about traveling with pets and it was brilliant! It's the best article I've read on the subject. We used a pet travel company to get our 3 dogs over here from Australia cause they had to go under the plane in the cargo section from Brisbane to LA with an overnight stop in Auckland (where they joined our plane the next day). It was expensive and there was no other way to get them out of Australia except in the cargo section. It went well though. United airlines allowed us to bring all 3 dogs on the plane in the cabin from LA to Houston to Puerta Vallarta if we bought an extra first class ticket and then changed their minds when we arrived in LA which was a nightmare; but our travel agent argued with them for over 2 hours and they had to cave in. I thought an ESA pet was allowed to be taken out of the dog carrier on the plane, which was why I was interested. I might ask you how it goes with Kramer entering Argentina when you get down there. Will be interested in how stringent they are there. Thanks!!

I am curious as to your thoughts on safety, specifically in Mexico, since those 3 surfers were killed at Baja. My thoughts, there are bad people, bad cities everywhere, but are Americans a target in Mexico? By the way, I really enjoyed the John Mark McMillan song, looked it up!
