لبنان أو (رسمياً: الجمهوريّة اللبنانيّة)، هي دولة عربية واقعة في الشرق الأوسط في غرب القارة الآسيوية. تطل من جهة الغرب على البحر الأبيض المتوسط.يعتبر لبنان أحد أكثر المراكز المصرفية أهمية في آسيا الغربية، ولمّا بلغ ذروة ازدهاره أصبح يُعرف "بسويسرا الشرق"، لقوة وثبات مركزه المالي آنذاك وتنوعه، كما استقطب أعدادا هائلة من السياح لدرجة أصبحت معها بيروت تعرف بباريس الشرق.
Lebanon, officially known as the Lebanese Republic, is a country in Western Asia. Despite its small size, the country has developed a well-known culture and has been highly influential in the Arab world, powered by its large diaspora. Lebanon was referred to as the "Switzerland of the East" during the 1960s, and its capital, Beirut, attracted so many tourists that it was known as "the Paris of the Middle East".
