Dirks ring is worth like 3 rings and everyone knows it. His road to the finals and beating Bron is insane and I'm not gon let anyone play revisionist about that.
Dirk ring the most valuable ring in history beat Lakers, Spurs, and the Thunder and then beat prime Big 3 Heat goated ring only rings close is 96' Bulls or LeBron coming back 3-1
Best playoff run in basketball history I'm glad he was able to eek one out in his career. Kobe, shaq, Duncan, Lebron, wade. Man 00s and early 10s basketball was nice.
@@tj5180 they're lucky mj was retired. Dirk went out and took out multiple superstar/HoF players. I'm too lazy to look at the actual numbers but I'm pretty sure that mavs squad beat the most 50 win teams in playoff history. They had to play 7 games series every match-up as well.
Not speaking about fit or chemistry, The personnel on this lineup is historic. You have LeBron and AD both players that are at least near top 5 when healthy, A former (not that long ago) MVP in Westbrook, Insanely good vets in Melo and Dwight and then some of the best depth i've seen from a recent team - Monk, Nunn, Ellington, Wes Mathews,THT,Ariza,Bazemore and Gasol all players capable of averaging 10 points on 40% from 3. This is a ridiculous super team on paper. Will it actually play like one on the court? If you factor "fit" that's when the issues begin.
I actually believe that the fans(and media) make it much harder to truly evaluate Lebron's greatness. Lebron is having an awesome career, but the inconsistency of Lebron's fans is crazy. There's always this narrative "Lebron makes everyone around him better!" But anytime his teams struggle, the new narrative is "Lebron has no help" or "X player is trash" You don't have to win every year to be great... I personally think Wilt should be in the Goat conversation and he only has 2 championships.
As a lebron fan myself, It hurts to hear los talk. He doesn’t know enough to talk about past eras and compare. He should just enjoy lebron in the present and stop having debates.
I love how Los thinks just bc Jason Kidd was a HOF made him instantly a great Role player in that finals, and good enough to justify LeBron losing. Then when it comes to the Lakers apparently his HOF rule doesn't apply to Melo Gasol and Howard lmao
The best possible definition for a “super team”: 1. A first option that could be considered a “superstar”/mvp level talent 2. A second option that could be considered a “superstar” but doesn’t necessarily have to be considered an mvp for one reason or another. They could be, but it isn’t necessary like the first option. 3. A third option that is considered at LEAST to be an all star LEVEL talent. They don’t necessarily have to be an all star, but if they could be at least in the all star conversation then they complete the criteria. With this metric, the Nets and Lakers are the current NBA “super teams”.
@@jaycee4844 he was not better than tony, manu, timmy, or kawhi. you could make the argument he was a good role player for the spurs but he wasnt a factor in any of the spurs rings/appreances or regular season W's. did he have good games yes ofc he did but he wasnt good enough consistently or good enough for even a 6th option. so quit the cap and watch actual nba games dawg
Ngl los was kinda right on the superteam lakers thing. Lebron is 39, ad gets hurt every other game, and Russ just isn’t an all star caliber player when he can’t be a ball dominant pg
That mavs team had one of the greatest runs of all time. But can we be real? They were like the 6th seed, and were not nearly the favorites to win the championship at any point in the playoffs.
Kidd avg 6 points on 36% shooting that year for the mavs when they won’t the title and avg 6 points on 37% with 3 assist playing 25 mins 😂😂😂 low yu need to get this dude canceled
@@ayourmum8521 nah G I’m not being facetious. This man said that patty mills could be the 2nd option on a really good team. A career 9 points per game scorer can be a 2nd option on an elite team. Let that sink in.
The tremble? That into was funny asl🤣🤣Great vid Marcell. To that guy: LOUS, Shouting to get your point across doesn't make it right, c'mon it's the basics man
These guys are prisoners of the moment. Whatever JUST happened is the greatest things to EVER happen. I feel bad for them for not being old enough to have seen the undisputed goat MJ.
The current lakers are a super team by today’s definition of having three all star caliber players, however they are not a good team for various reasons, age, injury prone, but mostly because Westbrook and Lechina James are both turnover machines who have to have the ball in order to play. Style of play and overall team game tends to win more often.
Dwight Howard in the 80's/90's is at best 5th. Hakeem, Shaq, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, and Alonzo Morning (as good defensively as DHoward and better offensively). That would put Howard 6th at best
Los saying Dwight Howard would be the best center in the 90s is a joke. Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Shaq, Zo and Patrick Ewing would say different
Pretty sure low was always critical of how this team was built, he just says they were a super team because of 3 guys that can perform at all-nba/all-star level (which didn't happen, only lebron performed up to that level)
@@genesisosuna that's not true because literally I. The beginning of the video low said what makes a superteam is how much better they are then the rest of the league and the lakers didn't even make the playin
lakers were never a super team and had depth after trade lmao. cavs have better chance of calling it super team. miami is the only time bron was on super team
A point u forgot to make: los said the heat having 3 superstars doesn’t make them better than the mavs cause they have 7-10 solid players. But goes to say that the lakers, that have 2 mvp caliber players and an all star who has been averaging a triple double for the last few seasons plus added plenty of solid role players, are worse than the nets cause they are a super team.🤣
I have to agree with the patty mills veubg under rated thing maybe not to such an extreme extent. But whenever that dude plays for Australia in the olympics the dude looks like Steph Curry. It’s truly amazing
I have a question. Because I do believe the Lakers are a super team for the exact reason Los was saying. It's based on their talent level compared to the majority of the league. So do we think the second 3 peat Bulls were a super team? Because i'm thinking about it and compared to the rest of the teams back then I can't remember a team that had comparable talent. MJ and Scottie being top 5 players (MJ of course being number 1) at that time and then Rodman as a top what 3-4 PF in the league? (Barkley and Karl Malone being the only 2 i'm thinking of better). Just wondering. Now the first 3 peat is tougher to say but how many teams in the league have to have comparable talent to make it not a super team? The Bulls first 3 peat of course Scottie and MJ were two of the best in the league and the only other teams I can think of at that time that had 2 top of the league players were Utah (Malone and Stockton) and the Pistons? Although I think IT wasn't as great still Rodman and Dumars were really good players. Just starting a discussion. Want to know what everyone else thinks?
If you took this Lakers team and replaced LeBron with KD, they'd be saying its a "mega stacked superteam" or heck even the Nets last year, if you replaced KD with LeBron, they'd say "its not a superteam at all"
Sports like politics is super subjective!!! Apply their exact same logic to a similar situation and all of a sudden that doesnt count in the argument that their using.
Years later and not only was los right but he knocked his analogy out the park Westbrook was a horrible fit and brought the demise to the lakers organization
